@PhpTalks team, @drumzminister , @stephenjude_ we have done well
Where do I even begin✨
If you run PHP, check your version today.
Two critical RCE flaws (CVE-2026-109618, CVE-2026-109619, CVSS 9.2) are patched in PHP 8.5.12, 8.4.27, 8.3.36 and 8.2.35.

Critical PHP vulnerabilities to be disclosed tomorrow: php.net/archive/2026.php.
We're working directly with the PHP Foundation to get patched PHP versions into our base images for Laravel Cloud, Forge, and Vapor ASAP.
You may need to redeploy your apps at that time to use these patched versions, but we're also working on the ability to silently patch applications without needing a redeployment.
All customers have been emailed and we will be providing further updates via email as the situation evolves.
🤔
OpenAI models helped researchers—operating as part of our Patch the Planet initiative—discover critical security flaws in PHP, an open-source programming language used to run an estimated 70% of websites.
Over the past two months, we led a coalition of maintainers, researchers, and security providers to prepare fixes and protections ahead of disclosure. This duration was necessary because the fix was quite intricate and required a major change to the PHP engine. Every site using PHP can now safely upgrade their version to stay secure, in addition to applying mitigations from various security vendors.
Due to the severity of these flaws and PHP’s widespread use, we consider this bug to be one of the most impactful vulnerabilities in recent memory. It also marks a new phase, where AI can find security bugs with internet-scale impact.
This is an example of the Defender’s Window in action: to our knowledge, frontier AI was able to find this vulnerability ahead of attackers, giving defenders time to prepare.

If you run PHP or Node.js in production, check your servers today.
Critical PHP vulnerabilities and new Node.js security advisories are a reminder that writing code is only half the job. Keeping your infrastructure secure is part of being a software engineer.
May God help the government websites...

The #php2shell panic got the severity right and most of the details wrong. It's a 9.2, not a 10.0, and the session.upload_progress flag you were told to switch off belongs to the other CVE. I went through the rumors against the advisory and the diff: daubois.dev/blog/cve-2026-10…

What a privilege it is, to be able to wake up everyday and try again.
Thank you @iamahless
From the PHPtalks community, we say a big thank you for giving us something we could take straight back to our work: a practical way to ship better with AI.
Your checklist challenged us to bring engineering discipline to the way we use AI, and we’re grateful for the thought you put into sharing it with us.
You are amazing 🤩
Thank you @jesutomiwajs
From the PHPTalks community, we say a big thank you for the time, effort and dedication it took to deliver a brilliant session.
You started an important conversation about what happens to engineering when more of the work becomes abstracted.
Your R.O.E framework gave our community something practical to think about as we learn, build, and work alongside AI.
We thank you for delivering a superb experience

Thank you @ElizabethN !!
First, from the PHPTalks community, we were pleased to have this opportunity to understand PHP Foundation.
We specially thank you Elizabeth for joining us at PHPConnect’26 and, more importantly, showing us that contributing to PHP is something we can all be part of. We’re grateful for the time you took to make that opportunity feel real and accessible.
We hope to see our community become a core part of the amazing work in PHPFoundation
You are amazing
Thank you @ohpauladams
We want to say something special to you Paul. Coming all the way from Abuja to Karfe Nnyin, Uyo, meant a lot to us.
Thank you for making that journey, working with our team through the preparation, and giving our community an honest look at the engineering behind real browser automation.
From the PHPTalks Community, we are super grateful to have you with us
Thank you @derickr !!!
You delivered the most technical session and most importantly our Keynote session for PHPConnect’26.
From the PHPTalks Community, we thank you for taking us deep into PHP internals. You gave us a rare look beneath the language we use every day and helped us understand what is happening under the hood.
We’re grateful for the depth of knowledge and time you shared with us.
You are amazing
