Crap. Got to wear NWUs when at sea cadets now since officers need to wear uniforms and not the alternative polo and khakis. Need to shave then :(

And we pulled the trigger to transfer to this unit. The drive is gonna suck but I think it’s the best move for my daughter. More opportunities for her to build her confidence and leadership skills with a bigger unit. But now I’m an XO 😂 and got to step it up. Lol

Checking out a different Sea Cadet unit this weekend with my daughter. It’s in Greenville Texas. 379 miles from my daughters school to where the unit has their drill. … 365 of that is on I-20 It’s gonna be a long drive and I’m always in awe by how big Texas is. Lol

Had almost 20 kids take the sea cadets marksmen course this weekend. All but 4 passed and I beat everyone but one. To be fair I’ve never shot a 22 in my life. Felt good to rub it in their faces a bit this morning after they kept me up all night and woke up at 4 am.

Sea cadets in Greenville this weekend. Love spending 11 hours in the car for less than a day and a half of stuff. Hopefully it works out and my daughter gets into the naval academy like she wants.

How on earth is it possible for me to be a dad for almost 12 years and I’ve never had to replace a L1154F battery. My giant bag stuffed full of over a dozen type of button batteries does not have a single L1154F battery. Wtf!?!🤬
