For the sake of completeness, important to understand that Eircode is not actually a postcode:

Notable absence of the word "address". ECAF or ECAD?

At the Nordhausen concentration camp, an American soldier named Lee Davis found a prisoner so thin that he could not lift his head. The man blinked, barely alive. Davis knelt down, broke off a piece of his chocolate ration, and gently stuffed it into his mouth.
The man burst into tears, unable to chew, but holding the chocolate as if it were gold. "He hadn't spoken in weeks," another soldier said, "but he whispered 'thank you,' in English." Private Davis remained by his side all night. The man survived. For years, he wrote to Davis, calling him "the man who brought flavor back to the world."
It's always good to be good.

Cant read you piece but hopefully it includes reference to Ireland's opinions on the Middle East being informed by a higher level of per capita experience in the region than most other countries. The fact that Local knowledge informs opinion often gets overlooked.

Ireland has more collective personal experience in the Middle East than most other nations. It's opinions are informed by local knowledge. That seems to be missing from your graphic. Rather than accuse - understand.

"If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor" Jean writes in her profile but her post says the complete opposite. Confused it seems!

Wrong - a higher %age of Irish Military and Civilians have worked in the Middle East for 5 decades than most other countries. Those people, their friends & families & the IRL Gov know the area very well from 1st hand experience. Sounds like you dont really know Ireland well.

No surprise there in general terms and Ireland is not immune to these type of threats.
My article in @irishexaminer shows how exposed #ireland is: irishexaminer.com/opinion/co…
Recommendation is not to put Eircode on dog collar ( not same as UK postcode). Dog found, they arrange to meet you but not at your address - you meet whilst someone else follows the eircode to rob the house knowing you are not there.
Unfortunately, the national postal service in Ireland found itself unable to use eircode, so not a viable standard as a postcode really: So near yet so far: parcel made it from the US to Dublin 8 before being sent back – The Irish Times share.google/sGmu7uwWQm8axWG…
