Hi all! I'm back and working my way through the remaining queries from before I went on leave. I'm hoping to have all responses out by end of the week, but either way, I'll be reopening for submissions on MONDAY (6/10) and will stay open through at least the end of June.
Heads-up: my query inbox will be closing this Friday, Aug 9. It'll reopen when I've caught up on the existing submissions--I'm aiming for November, but we'll see what life throws at me between now and then!
Free lunch meetings for query feedback or to ask industry questions are also open again for authors who are BIPOC or who identify as non-cisgendered; just drop me a DM to schedule one. Beyond that, I'm also available at Manuscript Academy: manuscriptacademy.com/facult…
Query queue update: I've responded to many over the past week & was hoping to get through all queries before I go on medical leave tomorrow, but unfortunately I didn't succeed. Sorry if yours is still unanswered! I will get back to all once I'm healed, which will be a few months.
I'm now closed to queries; thanks so much to everyone who submitted! I'm getting through these as fast as possible and will let you all know when I'm ready to reopen again.
I reopen to queries tomorrow! I'll be open for one week to start, then will reopen again when I've responded to all in that first batch. If you'd like to query, be sure to read through my guidelines in advance: literallycait.tumblr.com/que…
Reopening to submissions soon! Full details about my query inbox and the timeline here: literallycait.tumblr.com/pos…
As Twitter continues to implode, I just want to remind everyone that you can also follow me on Tumblr at the same username. I've been inactive on both for the past six months due to a severe health issue, but when I'm ready to return you'll find query announcements & news there.

Remember this breathtaking commission I got for THE ARCHIVE UNDYING?
The artist @drawingkit just broke down her thought process and symbolism, and it is just as involving as her art.

It is also a book of very clever, very dumb disaster queers being by turns devastatingly kind and terrible to one another.
Because that's the heart. The key to living at all. That with our cruelties and our mercies, we shape each other and ourselves.

It is a book of transformation willing and unwilling, of being undone and made more whole.
It is a book I wrote to make sense of what had happened to me, and what I might yet become.

And now as promised/threatened I speak AT LENGTH on this book and what it means to me:
THE ARCHIVE UNDYING is founded in my body's attempt to self-destruct -- and its failure to do so.
It is a book of the mind as inextricable from the body, and of transformation.

You like the queers? The Pacific Rim? The anime? The weird crunchy philosophies of selfhood in the context of artificial intelligence built on principles of neurology and psychology as it is presently understood? You like?
YOU BUY?

It's here! It's queer! It's so, so good! Happy book birthday to THE ARCHIVE UNDYING and @EmmaCandon 🎉🎉🎉
The happiest of book birthdays to The Archive Undying by @EmmaCandon, the first volume of her Downworld Sequence, where AI deities & brutal police states clash, wielding giant robots steered by pilot-priests with corrupted bodies!
