ALT Interested in a PhD in ecology, with an emphasis in microbiomes, invasive species, and agriculture? The Christian Lab at U Louisville is seeking a student to join a new USDA-funded project investigating the role of the microbiome in pathogen transmission from an invasive grass (Microstegium vimineum) to hemp. You will collaborate with researchers at U Kentucky, U Florida, U Kansas, and Tulane, with opportunities to receive training in plant pathology, evolutionary genomics, invasive species ecology, and/or ecological and evolutionary modeling. Guaranteed support 4 years, including 1-2 years RA. $25K/year stipend+tuition and health insurance. Interested? Contact natalie.christian@louisville.edu with CV, transcript, and a description of your interest in joining the lab in 2024.
