I bet we see him in less than FIVE SLB games.
He is in London for EuroCup presence.
We aren’t seeing much of him in Surrey I guarantee 💯
Welcome to London, Keenan Evans! 🦁
The London Lions are delighted to announce the signing of American point guard Keenan Evans on a season-long loan from Žalgiris Kaunas ahead of the 2026-27 season.
Evans has agreed a deal with Žalgiris and will spend the coming season in London, reuniting with a coaching group he knows well. He arrives with an impressive résumé, having established himself as one of Europe’s premier guards through spells with Žalgiris Kaunas, Maccabi Tel Aviv and, most recently, Greek giants Olympiacos.
A proven leader and elite playmaker, the 6'3" guard has performed at the very highest level of European basketball. During the 2023-24 EuroLeague season with Žalgiris, Evans played all 34 regular season games and averaged 17.3 points and 3.9 assists, posting an 18.3 performance index rating at an MVP-calibre level and earning recognition as one of the competition’s most dynamic offensive talents.
Evans moved to Olympiacos in the summer of 2024, but the past two seasons have been disrupted by injury, limiting his time on the court. Now, with his rehabilitation reported to be ahead of schedule and fully focused on the next chapter of his career, he arrives in London bringing elite experience, leadership and a winning mentality to the Lions’ backcourt.
He will find plenty of familiar faces in the capital. Lions Head Coach Tautvydas Sabonis was part of the Žalgiris coaching staff during Evans’ time in Kaunas, as was assistant coach Gintaras Krapikas, giving Evans a settled and trusted environment as he returns to the floor. The Lions’ backroom team carries further Lithuanian connections through assistant coach Vytautas Pliauga and strength and conditioning coach Domantas Tautkus.
Welcome to London, Keenan! 🤝
NEW: 7 players with @SprLeagueBballM experience that have been linked to @Surrey89ers
Mike Joiner
Travis Evee
Jaxon Brenchley
Evan Walshe
Tobias Cameron
Matt Zona (signed Caledonia)
Terrell Burden (signed overseas)
NEW: Hearing last step for @BristolFlyers to land last year’s SLB MVP is to find living arrangements.
Robinson is newly married which makes things a bit more complex.
I know they wanted Polite and Lily back… not enough budget for them.
I seriously question the future of some SLB teams with the new NBA Europe money + attraction.
With the SLB Playoff Final looming, does anyone know the exact numbers for the budget of the two teams competing?
I’d also love to see a breakdown of how much each team allotted themselves this year ££?
Most leagues & teams have this available, why don’t we?
@SprLeagueBballM
Little late - But I’m very excited for Nedas. Should be a great opportunity for him in the States to grow his game.
I’ve heard his NIL isn’t too shabby either 😏
@Surrey89ers @SprLeagueBballM
My @SprLeagueBballM score predictions today:
Bristol wins 87-81
Sheffield wins 91-84
London wins 83-59
Cheshire wins 97-85
You see I’m not that biased towards @Surrey89ers 😂😬

How can @Surrey89ers turn this around for next season? What key pieces do we need to compete for a title?

Rough one last night for my @Surrey89ers
Cheshire is too tough. Unfortunate injuries for us as well.
I was impressed by Rideau & White per usual. J Brenchley also impressive.
Lily was still the best player on the court IMO! Hopefully Sunday is competitive!
@SprLeagueBballM
Not sure if I’d rather @Surrey89ers play Manchester or Cheshire?
Both tough matchups imo.
My daughter wants to play Caledonia for the easier matchup. I had to tell her that we can’t…unfortunately 😂
@SprLeagueBballM
Devasting news. I really value loyalty in life so this hurts. My daughter’s favorite player.
However, he going to cash in more the next month than he did all year with us in Surrey 🤷🏼♂️
The Surrey 89ers and Isiah Small have mutually agreed for him to leave the club.
Thank you for your time with us, Isiah.
We wish you a healthy and successful spell with Ironi Kiryat Ata 💚
