BREAKING: The UAE is using Avalanche to power its national digital identity infrastructure, serving 12M+ people
UAE PASS is the country’s national digital identification system- it gives citizens, residents, and visitors a secure way to verify their identity, sign documents and access thousands of government and private-sector services.
Now, @tdrauae is working with Deca4 to integrate Avalanche technology as the infrastructure powering the UAE PASS Digital Vault.
The Vault lets users securely access and share verified official documents, while blockchain is used to verify their authenticity and ensure they haven’t been altered.
National-scale digital infrastructure, built for millions, and powered by Avalanche.

Do free zone companies pay UAE corporate tax?
Yes. Corporate tax applies to free zone companies as well.
Profits up to AED 375,000 are taxed at 0%. Above that, 9%. If your financial year ended 31 December 2025, the return and the payment are due by 30 September 2026.
A 0% rate does not remove the filing.

Crypto is not why banks reject you.
It is still a misunderstood and fresh concept in economics. The vague source of funds, zero compliance and transaction trail, and the mix of personal and business funds make it difficult for banks to place you.
All you need is a clear trail.

I reviewed the report on real estate projects completed in Dubai in the first half of 2026, which highlights the sector’s continued growth. A total of 104 real estate projects, with a combined investment value of approximately AED 111 billion, were completed, representing an estimated 52% increase. These projects also added more than 24,000 new real estate units in Dubai, up 36% compared with last year.
Today’s figures reflect the visionary leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, reaffirming the strength and resilience of Dubai’s real estate sector and the growing confidence in its investment and business environment. Dubai’s ambition and leadership know no limits.

It was a privilege to host H.E. Waleed Saeed Al Awadhi, CEO of the Capital Market Authority (CMA) (@sca_uae), at the headquarters of @DMCCAuthority in Uptown Tower, @UptownDubai.
The discussion centred on the future strategic direction of @DGCX and its role in strengthening the UAE’s position as a global hub for gold, commodities, and capital markets. Particular focus was placed on the Dubai Commodities Clearing Corporation (DCCC), DGCX’s wholly owned clearing house and the region’s only central counterparty, in reinforcing market integrity, resilience, and confidence across the wider financial markets ecosystem.
Jignesh Sanghvi, @DMCCAuthority CFO, and Nagendra Kumar, Deputy CEO of @DGCX , joined the discussion and highlighted the Exchange’s recent milestones, including the launch of its physically deliverable Spot Gold T+0 contract, enabling same-day settlement and further strengthening the UAE’s role as a centre for efficient and transparent gold trading.
We also explored strategic opportunities for closer alignment between DGCX and the CMA as the Exchange prepares to broaden its product offering in the year ahead.
The CMA’s progressive regulatory approach will be instrumental in this next phase, helping to accelerate institutional participation, deepen liquidity, and encourage innovation in support of the UAE’s long-term vision of becoming a leading global hub for gold, commodities, and financial markets.
As part of the visit, we toured Hikvision MEA’s state-of-the-art facilities in Uptown Tower before continuing to @AlmasTowerDMCC for the Dubai Design Academy @DDA_DXB and the DMCC Luxury Innovation Centre, where we met Hans Schwab, Co-Founder and CEO of ORIGINALLUXURY, and Margot Stuart, Co-Founder of ORIGINALLUXURY.
Collaborating with forward-thinking regulators like the CMA, alongside the entrepreneurs building the future of luxury within our community, ensures Dubai remains the ideal environment for global capital, financial innovation, and institutional growth.

DMCC has signed a strategic agreement to advance the Dubai London Hub - an initiative designed to support UK businesses entering the Dubai market and UAE-based companies expanding into the UK. As a consultancy and executive services platform that enables companies and entrepreneurs to access Dubai Government-related services from abroad, Dubai Hub simplifies market entry and cross-border setup.
With more than 2,200 British companies already operating within DMCC, the partnership responds to growing demand for structured, on-the-ground support across the UK-UAE corridor. By seamlessly connecting businesses to services and market access, DMCC continues to strengthen its role as a bridge between the two countries, enabling companies to scale with greater speed and confidence.
