Trump is good with what Putin and Russia are doing.
How is allowing Putin to attempt to rebuild the Soviet Union putting America First?
Putin knows he can play Trump. Putin has made Trump his little bitch.
Vance: "I've never met Putin in person. I've spoken to him on the phone. He was calmer than you might expect. The American media has a stereotype of him. He's very deliberate and measured in his words.
I think, at his core, he's someone who cares about Russia's interests as he sees them. One reason he respects the President is that he recognizes the President cares about the interests of the American people."

This is truly a historic moment. President Trump has indefinitely suspended sanctions against Russia that would have been required in the Graham law. He went against the last request of Lindsey Graham, whom he called his friend. And he handed Putin the opportunity to finance the war against Ukrainians, who are fighting for their freedom.
Trump calls this a "national interest." But diesel prices went up because of his war against Iran and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz. So waiving sanctions on Russia does not solve that problem. Instead, it creates another one.
Putin cannot win on the battlefield, so he attacks civilians. Russian missiles and drones are destroying homes, hospitals, schools, and churches. According to the UN, just two weeks of October have been among the deadliest for civilians in Ukraine in recent years.
Forty percent of Russia's budget goes to the war. After Trump's latest decisions, Russia will make record profits. The formula is simple: "Money turns into missiles. Missiles turn into civilian deaths."
Trump is not stopping Russia's war against Ukraine. Trump is helping Putin win it.
As a Nobel Peace Prize laureate, I want to address the people of America, regardless of their political views.
Do you really believe that the killing of millions of people and the loss of Ukraine's independence are in your national interest?
If not, what will you do to stop America from financing the genocide that Putin is waging against Ukrainians with Trump's support?

Sanctions relief will continue. I think the diesel deal and the move regarding the Lindsey Graham Act are not the end of it. Unfortunately.
It’s unfortunate because we all had great respect for Lindsey. He devoted his life to America. We had an excellent relationship with him. And shortly before the tragedy, Lindsey was in Ukraine. He always supported us very strongly and pushed for as much assistance to Ukraine as possible.
It’s difficult without him, I’ll be honest. I want to thank both Democrats and Republicans who supported his bill. That was a major victory: this truly bipartisan support. And now, the decision to undo all of this, to block all of it, seems wrong to me. And it definitely helps only the Russians. It only fuels their satisfaction and their desire to keep killing people. This certainly does not stop the war.

Consider Trump’s actions on Ukraine in the last month and how they reveal his priorities:
- Kushner and Witkoff discuss energy deals while in Moscow on peace mission
- US threatens to suspend intel sharing if Ukraine strikes Russian energy
- Starlink slows speeds, damaging Ukraine’s air defense
- Ukrainians suspect U.S. also withheld ballistic missile early warning
- Trump gives Russia waivers on Graham Bill sanctions
All while Russia expands attacks on Ukrainian energy and civilian targets.
This is US Ukraine policy: Pressure on Ukraine, relief for Russia, focus on energy deals, both before and after the midterms.
Trump trying to get the gay vote?
Careful on the verbiage of “US personnel” what “US personnel” died? If US citizens were killed who had voluntarily gone to an Ukraine to fight then that does not equate to “US personnel.”

Don’t care about a HR Derby winner. I want a World Series winner.
Work smarter not harder
Disney reused the same animation across films, and Robin Hood is the famous case.
The 1973 production had fallen behind schedule, so to meet its deadline the animators recycled dance sequences from Snow White, The Jungle Book and The Aristocats. I don't mind one bit.
Spotting the repeats is half the fun now.

So, MAGA, let me make sure I understand the strategy.
Canada is the enemy. Europe is the enemy. Japan is the enemy. South Korea is the enemy. Australia and New Zealand are the enemy.
Russia is the friend.
You want to trade the richest, most technologically advanced alliance network on Earth, representing tens of trillions of dollars in economic power, for Russia.
You are trading a fleet of aircraft carriers for a rowboat.
You are trading North America, Europe and the advanced democracies of Asia-Pacific for Russia.
You are trading an economic and military network spanning three continents for one country with an economy comparable to a single small European state.
And this is supposed to make America stronger?
That is a big downgrade. But it is who you are.

Remember when this guy was convicted of making false statements to the FBI about contacts with Russian spies (and receiving money from Russians)?
Trump has already killed the Republican Party. Trump and his policies continue to harm his MAGA candidates. But feel free to live in a world where you blame the leader of an invaded nation for fighting back. How dare the Ukrainians not capitulate.
Zelensky is bombing oil factories to harm republicans in the midterms
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Ukraine has long struck Russian oil refineries to disrupt war funding and respond to Russian attacks on its energy grid, per Zelensky. He has offered to halt if Russia does the same. No evidence indicates a motive to affect US midterms.
