Ignorance is such a bad thing
You left out the most important part.
The French deal came with about Sh23 billion a year in service fees for 13 years, roughly Sh299 billion, financed with debt.
The French firms would also keep the tolls, and Kenya would cover any shortfall after year 14.
Thatās why it was cancelled in 2024, not 2025.
Paying 7B to get out of a 299B trap isnāt ufisadi.
Itās damage control.
And āit would be complete by nowā? It never even got to construction.
I said it,

Yesterday @rigathi spent two whole hours serving his usual bitterness about Ruto.
An hour before he started, Ruto had already aired a pre-recorded announcement of under 15 minutes.
And what are Gachaguaās own allies talking about today? Bayern vs Ajax. ā½
Two hours of speeches, and a 15-minute clip still won the day. Akili mtu wangu š

The government played a masterclass yesterday hate to admit it haha. Bringing Bayern and Ajax here something that connects the young people more than anything then those opposing it are thoroughly being cooked too organically lol. Adi Methu ameambiwa hataki maskini waonešš

š Brathe, research without evidence is just storytelling! Who makes the claim bears the burden of proof. You canāt cook figures, shout āresearch,ā then expect everyone to swallow your calculations. Leta evidence, si kelele

A building collapses in Nairobi and the Senator @edwinsifuna has nothing to say.
If he canāt speak up for his own county, what exactly is he offering the country?
Last time it took essays from @LindaMwananchi_ to explain why Sifuna sat where he sat.
Todayās seating chart is going to need a whole thesis š

My DJ was told to post this; forgive his reasoning
Bamburi Cement is owned by Amsons Group - a Tanzanian conglomerate.
So why does the opposition keep insisting it belongs to Ruto?
What I'm i Missing?
Why are WANTAM fellas this desperate?
Old quote, recycled as breaking news.
The same people screaming āLIARā at others are out here misleading timelines without blinking.
The hypocrisy is loud.

Letās talk about the RironiāMau Summit road deal. A story of a bad contract, a costly exit, and a better replacement.
1. The Original Deal (Uhuru era):
2020. Uhuruās government signs a 30-year toll concession with Vinci Highways for 233km of road.
Cost: Sh180ā190bnTolls: Sh780āSh6,450 per trip Hidden catch: Govt pays Vinci Sh23bn every year for 13 years - on top of tolls - whether Kenyans use the road or not.
Total guaranteed payout: Sh299 billion. š
4.Side by Side:
Same road. Same price. Completely different terms.
OLD (Vinci): Tolls up to Sh6,450 Ā· Sh23bn/yr govt fee Ā· Traffic risk on taxpayer Ā· Never built
NEW (CRBC-NSSF): ~Sh1,112 toll Ā· No annual govt fee Ā· Risk on investors Ā· Under construction
The difference isnāt the road.
Itās who carries the risk.
This time - itās not you. @methumuhia
3: The New Deal:
A new deal was negotiated and approved by the PPP Committee in November 2025.Builders: China Road & Bridge Corp + NSSF (60/40)
Cost: ~Sh184bn
Toll: Sh8/km (~Sh1,112 NairobiāNakuru)
Govt takes 60% of excess profits
Free alternative routes guaranteedAnd itās under construction.
2. Why It Was Cancelled (Ruto era, May 2025):
The deal was a trap. Hereās why it was cancelled:ā Sh299bn in state payments - borrowed money, on top of tolls
ā” Traffic risk on taxpayers - if few cars used the road, you paid the gap
⢠Tolls up to Sh6,450 - govt said users deserved fairer terms
⣠Renegotiation failed - Vinci wouldnāt budge, so the deal was terminatedExit bill: Sh6.2ā7.3bn - paid before a single km was built.
