What is the current narratives you hearing?
This episode is one of the best I’ve listened to lately. In my top 5 favourite on @lennysan‘ podcast
Full of wisdom and practical examples.
@dharmesh loved every bit.
Dharmesh Shah (@dharmesh) is the co-founder and CTO of @HubSpot, and one of the most fascinating and first-principled-thinking founders I’ve ever met. Dharmesh is the keeper of HubSpot’s Culture Code, built @ChatSpotai (an AI chatbot built on top of HubSpot CRM) and a game called WordPlay (which grew to 16m users), founded and writes for @OnStartups (a top-ranking startup blog and community with more than 1m members), and that's just a small portion of the fun facts about Dharmesh.
In our conversation, we discuss:
🔸 How to decide what ideas are worth investing in
🔸 The biggest lessons he has learned from building HubSpot into a $30B+ business
🔸 Dharmesh’s unique approach to public speaking
🔸 The importance of leaning into your strengths
🔸 The decision-making process at HubSpot
🔸 How Dharmesh developed HubSpot’s culture code
🔸 His contrarian approach to building products
🔸 Why founders and product teams are all fighting the second law of thermodynamics
🔸 How “flash tags” can save your team time
🔸 Much more

Moving from monolith to micro service should not be your goal.
Having an architecture that enables your teams/company to move fast as it grows is.

I don’t hate CEX, to me is more a a continuation of TradFI into crypto and it does help with adoption. However, it’s important not to loose sight of the big picture, crypto is about self sovereignty, disintermediation and freedom.

What problems do you see in these situations? 🤔
Product Leader: "Engineers are not willing to participate in discovery work (figure out what to build)"
Tech Leader: "Engineers are complaining they are not getting involved in discovery (what to build)” – at Sydney, New South Wales
Great to see some action in the space.

Thanks to Twitter drama, the entire world is waking up to the unacceptable risks of centralization in the Web2 internet, and the need to transition to decentralized alternatives that can't be owned and controlled by a single person.
And you think this is "the end of crypto?" 😂
If you still enjoy coding, why not. There are many ways for you to keep doing it without disempowering your teams. Find your way.
If you don't, it is fine too. People will still respect you regardless of your coding skills.
