Crypto gets a hard time regarding its carbon footprint The truth is, new research shows that 8 big banks + 10 asset managers generated 79 x more emissions than all of crypto mining, 2.169 billion tonnes of CO2. If these banks were a country, they'd be the 5th largest emitter.
