We are thrilled to be launching the Young Innovators Program at Canada Builds Modern this year. Open to emerging professionals aged 30 and under, the program is designed to give the next generation of housing leaders direct access to the people, ideas and networks shaping the future of housing delivery in Canada.
Participants will gain practical industry knowledge, develop their leadership skills, build relationships with mentors and industry leaders, and receive full access to Canada Builds Modern. Through three dedicated Studio Sessions and participation in the broader Summit, Young Innovators will be challenged to think boldly, collaborate across disciplines and develop the skills and connections they need to play a meaningful role in transforming how housing is delivered in Canada.
I’m particularly excited to see the perspectives and ideas this group brings to the conversation.
Applications are rolling and we would love to see you apply, or share the opportunity with an emerging leader in your network.

On the Front Line: Keeping Transit Safe, the first national documentary focused on transit safety from the perspective of front-line workers. Filmed on location across five major Canadian cities (Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto and Montreal) the documentary captures the lived experiences of those working every day to keep transit safe: outreach workers, special constables, peace officers and police partners.

Some highlights from Monday's "Transit for Tomorrow" summit, which we hosted in partnership with TransLink Mayors' Council. Four cities and several transit advocacy groups signed a joint declaration asking the federal government to "do their part" for transit funding.

Will they pay for the funerals of the cyclists who die as a result, that is the real question.
Getting rid of bikes lanes does not get rid of cyclists. Doing so just makes cyclists unsafe.
This weird war on bikes - which we know is designed to distract from the billions of dollars in failed transit delivery (Crosstown, Ottawa LRT) - is getting dangerous.
NEW: As the Ford government reviews the installation of all bike lanes on city streets over the past five years, the province is offering to pay for the costs of removing existing lanes.

Amazing turn out at the @ttcriders rally today! People support well funded transit--that means accelerating the Canada public transit fund, opening it to operations spending & increasing the fund to truly cover transit needs. @JustinTrudeau @cafreeland @s_guilbeault @SeanFraserMP – at Toronto, Ontario
