Btw, this is still very pertinent to have...
I volunteered with @ks_found for a solid 2 years, and would make time again if @lsanger needed me any given day... —They are the good people.
...And a USB key with the whole Gutenberg library wrapped in ZWI file (zipped wiki) is pure gold, no internet required, read forever and a day...
I ordered a few of these things, I keep giving them away as gifts to younger generations on every occasion I see fit...
...Except my Thank You copy/ Early buy/ contributor favor... sub 2 digit signed by Larry, that one is mine.. never leaving my hands!...
#KnowledgeIsPower #OfflineStuff #SaveEverything
Here you go—the third key I ordered. I am giving #knowledge as a Christmas gift! I challenge everyone to do the same. Give knowledge, and support Knowledge Standards Foundation at the same time.

#KnowledgeIsPower!
#GiveAndReceive
#ChristmasGiftIdeas
#Books ...A lot of it!

enhub.org/ was upgraded - an independent platform that uses the #encyclopshere data provided by the KSF to preview encyclopedic articles @ks_found @lsanger @tbc0

By the way, the grades are NOT mandatory. A plain prose review, or even a complaint about how the community dealt badly with an attempt to edit, etc., is all fair game. It should just concern one article. It can even concern a deleted article or one not allowed to be created.

If you want early access to WikiCritic—an aggregator of decentralized reviews of Wikipedia articles plus AI assessments—then write a review of a Wikipedia article. Can be short. Post online, drop link below.

Is there some PARTICULAR Wikipedia article you have serious complaints about? Then please do this:
1. Select a venue for publishing. Use wherever you already write—blog, Substack, X. Must be accessible to my AI agent.
2. Name the Wikipedia page. Grade it A–F on Overall, Completeness, Competency, Scholarship, Neutrality, Currency, Simplicity. You can separately grade the intro section (lede)
3. Explain your grades. Needn't be long. Add the licence line: "This comment is CC-by-sa licensed for #WikiCritic use." One article per review page pls.
4. Publish and paste in the URL below. An AI agent will read it and file it beside the machine's own grades. You'll be able to view it yourself before anybody else (I'll follow you and give you access soon).

If I was a billionaire I would allocate 5%+ money for books and babies.
Books, to create a library of all the worlds knowledge accessible by all. (like @ks_found and @Grokipedia )
Babies, to create a resource for mothers to be able to stay home with their babies until age 6 or 7.
It would pay in dividends and the world would be a better place.

Great article. It’s ridiculous the amount of money paid to other people to essentially raise your children in a group of other kids. The mother’s and father’s are exhausted trying to make ends meet, while someone else is taking care of their children. If only we could give that money to women who want to stay home with their own children.

There are alternative encyclopedias, you know

Created a short article jwork.org/home/top-6-wikiped… covering @Wikipedia alternatives for 2025, as well as the KSF and DARA projects, which aim to decentralize knowledge-based web resources. #decentralization, #KSF, @lsanger @tbc0 @JustapediaF @ks_found @dara_proj
The KSF has recently received a large number of orders for ZWIBook flash drives. We're struggling to keep up with them and are currently out of stock. However, we will honor back-ordered items. We need to get new blank drives first, which will take a few days to arrive.

@Wikipedia spends $31 million of donations on 'racial equality'? Well, encycloreader.org by #KSF (@ks_found, @lsanger) operates with 25,000 times less funds than Wikipedia's 'racial equality' spending, but #KSF network is 30x more diverse in terms of content. Similarly, handwiki.org runs entirely without donations! @tbc0

Thanks to @dara_proj for creating the zwi files of the Guttenberg Library on the @ks_found standard.
@lsanger did quite a job building a reader that has all needed features to make the library searchable and notes capable.
I'm so proud of everyone's work.

If you want 69,020 books (so many classics) from Project Gutenberg on a flash drive, bundled with excellent, bespoke reader software, you want ZWIBook. $50 unsigned, $100 signed.
The reviews are in!

Quotes:
Greg Newby, Director and CEO of Project Gutenberg Literary Archive Foundation, and owner of #26:
"I worked with Larry to help make Project Gutenberg contents available for the ZWIBook flash drive, and I’m very pleased with the outcome. ... You get a massive personal library that you can read, annotate, and share. The collection is nicely done, with a helpful interface. The software gives you capabilities to search and use the library."
Thanks to Greg & to Project Gutenberg!
