I really abhor this trend of walking out when people are speaking. What happened to listening and offering counter points. It’s like sticking your fingers in your ears and shouting “La la la not listening”. People need to grow the fuck up. My children know how to behave better.

Gosh! That was a #TheHitList and a half. All six contestants were fantastic; the other four winners on any other week. But what winners! Incredible. I take my hat off to all of them.

Last night I went to see @ElkieOfficial at @RoyalDerngate. I booked the tickets on a whim months ago when I saw she was coming; mainly out of nostalgia that my nan used to sing us Pearl’s A Singer.

Really, all I needed to say was, if you see that @ElkieOfficial is playing anywhere near where you might be able to get to, go and see her sing. You absolutely won’t regret a single minute. May she keep strutting her stuff for many years to come.

And thanks to my many years passed nan for inspiring the purchase; that allowed me the most wonderful evening listening to the most amazing music with her daughter; my mum. What an absolute treat!

Sorry but what does an anthropologist know about anorexia nervosa? There are already fears that chronic anorexics are being pushed towards palliative care, because recovery takes so long and isn’t guaranteed anyway. But there *is* always hope. Honestly, this whole thing stinks
1/ In today’s committee, witnesses with no expertise in eating disorders made inaccurate statements that went unchecked & unchallenged. MPs and the public were misled about the risks this bill poses to people with eating disorders. Let’s look at the facts. 🧵👇

#Northampton #cat people … we are sadly having to rehome one of our cats, as they have started fighting each other making it impossible to live in the same house. Bob is coming up 3 years old (although a rescue so we don’t know exactly), we’ve had him just over two years.

He’s quite a gentle, playful cat. Loves a cuddle with his trusted humans. He just no longer likes his adopted brother; although he mixes nicely with the neighbour’s female cats. He’s an explorer, spending lots of time in the garden.

If anyone thinks they’d be able to give him a good home, give me a shout.

New #Bullseye is cracking! What a brilliant nod to the past, brought up to date for modern times with affection. Fantastic stuff! Also, people that can dart (Luke Littler) will never cease to amaze me; such accuracy and arithmetic ability. Incredible!

A few moments after MPs voted for assisted dying, the Government Whip on duty objected to and blocked the Children’s Hospices (Funding) Bill.

It’s lucky we have a famously competent state, a well-funded health service, & courts with plenty of time on their hands, or I’d be worrying that this is a terrible decision
