What will Genesis change for Cambria players and Charter holders? 👀 We now have more clarity on TGE, the Charter reveal, testnet and Genesis. I’ve gathered the key takeaways from BEN.ZZZ’s interview, and the attached edit focuses on Founding Charters and their utility 👇 > TGE and Genesis The team is coordinating TGE timing with partners and preparing the airdrop. The token is planned to launch on Aerodrome on Base, with Genesis following TGE. > Reveal and testnet The Charter reveal is planned for October 17. Testnet is expected next week, with access for all Charter holders. > Viceroy Charters The collection is capped at 500 NFTs, and Ben likened its holders to administrators within Cambria. The focus is on exclusivity and collectible value, with no specific additional utility promised yet. > Regular Charters They can be used for passive participation in the economy through guilds and the Merchant Fleet. After the reveal, they’ll receive traits such as house and profession, while the overall Charter supply will gradually grow. > How the economy works Players buy energy with USDC, risk resources in PvE and PvP, and can exchange earned silver back into USDC. In-game fees flow into the Treasury to support the game economy and RSGP. > Long-term development Cambria has been in development for around three years, and Ben estimates the project is only a third of the way toward its vision. Genesis aims to move Cambria from separate seasons to a persistent MMO with regular updates. I like how Cambria is building a world where all these systems connect. Seeing them come together in Genesis is what I’m looking forward to most.
