Zach Cregger is literally making fun of Resident Evil. It would’ve been a great movie if the title is “Scary Movie 7”. Because it really is a parody movie of a horror franchise. It’s funny AF and quite enjoyable, albeit disrespectful to the source material.
Day XXX of covering ITZY songs until they hire me as guitarist for the next world tour. 😅🎸

New cat alert! A call from a wildlife sanctuary about a "weird cat" has led to the first new cat species discovered in over 100 years in Bolivia’s Yungas forest ecoregion. Learn more about this feline surprise: on.natgeo.com/JRuaGj
Zach Cregger is genre dyslexic. Always marketing his excellent COMEDY movies as horror.
“Resident Evil”, whatever the fuck the reason it’s called that, deserves to be in the holy trinity of zombie comedies with Shaun of the Dead and Zombieland.
Easily the best 2026 comedy.
They praised Onimusha’s combat because pedestrians could win. Just challenging enough to still involve some gameplay so people used to pressing a button and watch a cutscene feel a sense of achievement.
Twitter and socmed in general don’t understand nuance. I don’t think anyone questioned Cregger’s ability to make a good horror movie. It’s just not a Resident Evil movie and that’s the problem. It’s like calling yourself The Beatles but we got Oasis. Still good but not the same.
Weapons was a good comedy. Always wondered why they gave him a horror project after the success of that.
🎬 Zach Cregger removed most of the jokes from 'RESIDENT EVIL' after test screenings.
“I learned that people really liked the movie, but they thought it was too funny. So over the course of my testing, I stripped out as much of the jokes as possible. I then found that not only did the audience enjoy the movie more, but I also liked the movie a lot more. A little bit of humor goes a long way in a horror movie, and there’s not a single joke I took out of this movie that I miss. So that perspective was really helpful.”

Tell me you didn’t base it on Resident Evil without telling me you didn’t base it on Resident Evil. Arrogant prick thinks he’s better than the source material he’s adapting. Make your own if you want to play by your rules.
Can we stop ranking films based on box office? I also have to buy a ticket and watch it before knowing it’s bad. Same with music. I have to listen to it before knowing it’s shit. So why are we basing greatness on views and streams?
Decent people will start becoming criminals if the Philippine govt don’t get their shit together. It’s becoming almost impossible to survive here without breaking any law. It’s literally so fucking expensive to be a law-abiding citizen and soon we can no longer afford to be.
Early new year’s resolution: I will stop responding to pointless questions with no explanation. Don’t argue. Don’t explain. Don’t correct them. If they’re dumb enough to not know what should’ve been common sense, they won’t have the common sense to understand the response.
Coming from literally the first person AI replaced…
Gal Gadot defends starring in Doug Liman's "Bitcoin" movie with AI sets and lighting because "the train has left the station. You’re going to work with it or be out of the game completely."
“This was the longest contract I have ever worked on. It was six months for my lawyers to go through every scenario we could think about as far as the AI component of it. I did not want AI to have anything to do with my performance. We had to protect that... I am afraid of AI, but I am going to be afraid and look away? No. I am afraid but I am playing with it and learning it and trying to educate myself. The train has left the station. You’re going to work with it or be out of the game completely. I am trying to make the best of it and protect what I can protect. The AI component in this movie is for sets and the lighting. We had a broad crew and a lot of people were working on this movie.”
“It felt like a pure art form of creating a movie. I haven’t seen a single shot. As an actress, I wait so much. There’s the legendary quote: ‘You are being paid to wait as an actor.’ Here we would film nonstop because we didn’t have to wait for lighting. We would film on and on and on for 10 hours. It was amazing… as actors you’re always hot. You don’t cool off. We’ll see. It’s crazy.”
