"Putin, having accidentally received great power into his hands, has used it with catastrophic consequences for Russia. And I don't love him because he doesn't love people. He cannot stand us. He despises us. He thinks we're the means for him, that's all. The means to reach his own goals in power. And so he's allowed to do anything to us - play as he sees fit. That he can destroy us however he wants. That we're nobodies. And he, although he climbed on top accidentally, but now a tsar and a god, whom we should worship and fear." - Anna Politkovskaya, Russian journalist and human rights activist.
She would have been 65 today.
Anna Politkovskaya was shot dead in the entrance of her own building on 7 October, 2006 - on Putin's birthday.
The persons who ordered her murder have not been found to this day.

Political prisoner Palina Sharenda-Panasyuk is refusing to eat as a protest against the inhuman conditions of detention. The mother of two is kept in a bare, dirty cell sleeping on iron plates. Her voice can't reach us, so we have to speak for her. This cruelty has to end now.

19 years in a maximum security penal colony. The number of years does not matter. I perfectly understand that, like many political prisoners, I am sitting on a life sentence. Where life is measured by the term of my life or the term of life of this regime.
The sentencing figure is not for me. It is for you. You, not me, are being frightened and deprived of the will to resist. You are being forced to surrender your country of Russia without a fight to the gang of traitors, thieves, and scoundrels who have seized power. Putin must not achieve his goal. Do not lose the will to resist.

Dmitry Skurikhin, Leningrad region, Russia 🇷🇺, will likely end up with a long trip to the prison camps.
Dmitry, undoubtedly, will lose everything he has and may be tortured.
For what?
In this photo you see Dmitry holding a sign that says “Forgive, Ukraine,” painted across his building are the names of all the cities 🇷🇺 has bombed inside of 🇺🇦, next to the large slogan in red & blue letters,
“PEACE TO UKRAINE: FREEDOM INSIDE OF RUSSIA.”
The criminal Putin Regime will not be remembered differently than the Nazis were: Criminals who brought disgrace & shame who eventually ended up at the war crimes tribunal.
Russians who today are not acting against the Putin Regime will be remembered as collaborators who abetted evil.
PS @danica_thanki noticed that on the door someone had spray painted “Thank you: You are a hero.”
Though little, there is good everywhere.
