One of the things that has helped me most in this space is being very honest with myself about my knowledge level. The two ways you most get into trouble is pretending you know more about something than you do, and not trusting yourself enough when you do know a lot. Avoid both.

Let’s get to work
The Bulls project to be pretty terrible this year, but I also like almost all of their players, and they are finally being honest about who they are. Kind of excited about this season. I believe in Caleb, Dailyn, and Matas's potential and the club is rightfully focusing on them.
Yet another negative consequence of sports betting. It's a plague that should be eradicated, not plastered on every show, podcast, and billboard.
The NFL, MLB, MLS, NBA and NHL joined with their respective players’ unions today to crack down on betting-related harassment of athletes, coaches and families.
“Threatening the safety of an athlete or their family members over a sports bet crosses a bright ethical and criminal line, and it is entirely unacceptable,” the group wrote to gaming regulators in 35 states and the District of Columbia.
Fans are the worst part of sports (see the comments section on this wholesome post). If you're an actual fan, you want every player on your team to succeed.
Who cares? 7 more teams decided not to draft Hali, while the Pistons were dead set on Patrick Williams at 7 and the Spurs were trying to trade up to draft him first. It's pointless to try and pretend now that anyone knew for sure how these players would turn out. Move on.
Most of the Bulls scouts and draft room wanted to pick Tyrese Haliburton but Arturas Karnisovas was fixated on Patrick Williams, per @JCowleyHoops
“Karnisovas didn’t even think Haliburton would be a top-four talent on the Bulls’ roster at the time.”

Unless you believe that this guy, who scored 17 PPG on 63.6% TS and a .506 FTr almost all on self-created drives and ultra-efficient isolation, suddenly forgot how to put the ball in the basket overnight, then it’s too early to be reaching any conclusions about his NBA outlook.
Genuinely funny to watch people be shocked that Keaton Wagler can’t create separation off the dribble, as if it’s some shocking new revelation to anyone who has watched more than 30 seconds of film on him. Everyone knows, and he went 5th anyway. Maybe you should find out why.

🚨NEW BULLS GOLD
Ed and I had @SwishTheory co-founders @_LarroHoops and @klahoops join us to give their thoughts on the Bulls off-season so far.
Give it a listen if you get a chance.
