One thing of note: Ben Johnson chose not to rule out Caleb Williams for the Eagles' game the afternoon following when Williams got the results of the MRI on his right hamstring and thus knew the true severity of it. I understand gamesmanship, not giving your opponent information when you don't necessarily need to and Johnson's belief that Williams "has in the past, (gotten back from injury) a lot faster than what people can anticipate," but by not ruling him out early in Week 3 when Williams and the team knew how significant the injury was gave off the perception that he was trying to play that week, even though Johnson said he would not practice. That, in turn, created even more speculation that the injury was not as significant as Williams detailed it was today as a "pretty serious" hamstring tear.
Caleb Williams took issue with reports out there over the type/severity of his injury. He said that nothing that was reported was accurate and clarifies that the sustained a "hamstring tear, a pretty serious one." Williams did not disclose the grade of the hamstring injury when asked.

The Saints are asking Shough to play a style of football that's tough for even high performing veteran QBs, in his second year. Has he even played 16 games yet? Lots of potential long-term negative side-effects to stuff like this.

How Pat Freiermuth got so wide open on his 2nd TD. First clip - earlier third down. Freiermuth #3, Bernard #2. Rub route with Freiermuth breaking outside. Touchdown. Same look. Same defender (No. 29) thinks Freiermuth will go outside again, but Muth stems back inside. Cool setup for the score. #Steelers

aye yall are crazy lol… the Joey narrative has to stop! i ain’t tell no damn body to not play lol that’s just flat out dumb! i still cheat when i play madden 😂! i want to be teammates with good players! why would i tell a guy who i think is a top 5 corner to fake an injury (which i don’t think he was doing anyways. the man was in the building tryna get right at 6 am & engaged in every meeting). why would i not want a chance to suit up with him this year as a PITTSBURGH STEELER? just doesn’t make sense. don’t take me being in his corner the wrong way. His business is his business & i’m rocking wit him as my dawg… but i’m a Steeler & i want all good players to be apart of this team. i’m tryna win!

The Iheanachor-Hoffman switch seems to have gone pretty darn well. OL looked light years better this week.

The #Steelers will feature an entirely new right side of their O-line this week, with first-round rookie OT Max Iheanachor making his debut as a starter, sources say. In addition, Brock Hoffman will be at right guard. It all starts up front.

Ugly ending to that last Steelers drive, but it really showcased the potential of Germie Bernard. Watch him peek inside just before making his in-cut on this dig route to identify the safety and find the hole in the zone. Veteran route from the Steelers rookie.

The #Steelers 5-step offensive line development plan: 1. Don’t play them 2. Play them out of position 3. Move them around 4. Watch them play poorly 5. Rinse & repeat

I'm gonna keep it real bro, and this isn't a knee jerk reaction. DK Metcalf is nowhere near a #1 receiver.

Patrick Graham came to PIT with a reputation as an aggressive DC. Then, in Week 1, he blitzed less and played more zone than anyone in the league. It was a calculated strategy to prevent explosives, contain Bijan Robinson and make Cooper Rush drive the field. And it worked.
Every NFL defensive play caller ranked by blitz rate in Week 1: Brian Flores: 82.1% Dan Quinn: 50.9% Aaron Glenn: 44.9% Jesse Minter: 43.4% Kelvin Sheppard: 43.0% Todd Bowles: 42.9% Lou Anarumo: 39.1% Mike Macdonald: 35.8% Vic Fangio: 35.8% Christian Parker: 35.3% Zak Kuhr: 33.3% Jonathan Gannon: 32.8% Ejiro Evero: 31.4% Anthony Campanile: 30.6% Dennis Allen: 25.8% Jeff Hafley: 25.4% Jim Leonhard: 24.7% Rob Leonard: 24.0% Dennard Wilson: 21.2% Chris O’Leary: 20.8% Brandon Staley: 20.5% Jeff Ulbrich: 20.3% Mike Rutenberg: 19.6% Raheem Morris: 19.3% Robert Saleh: 19.0% Matt Burke: 17.3% Chris Shula: 15.6% Al Golden: 15.4% Nick Rallis: 13.7% Patrick Graham: 10.5% That rate by Flores is likely the highest by any DC in a week over the last decade.

I guess pass interference does not apply if it is done against DK Metcalf!? C’mon @NFL

How many fucking times is DK Metcalf gonna get mugged downfield before the Steelers get a call. This is so fucked. NFL officiating has never failed to show how bad they are. Every game. Every week. Terrible. There. Has. To. Be. A. Better. Fucking. Way. @NFL

Brian Angelichio says he felt Drew Allar 'listened to his feet' yesterday against the Jets while going through progressions and deciding when to break the pocket. He was impressed by how Allar worked the scramble drills, in particular.
