The current Lagos Gubernatorial Candidate is not constitutionally qualified to run for two terms. The new electoral Act addressed that confusion after Dr Goodluck Jonathan's era. Mr Hamzat has been Deputy Governor for two terms. He can only be Governor for a single term.
He was also strategically picked to complete Akinwunmi Ambode's outstanding four years term because they come from the same political orientation.
This is what makes the Gubernatorial Seat of Lagos vacant in 2031 for a new Candidate to take over.
They will be a lot of power tussle on who inherits Asiwaju's political legacy. It would be fierce and whoever Governs Lagos would become the crowned King.
In 2027, Asiwaju would start settling all his boys and foot soldiers politically.
