When your club is ‘in transition’ they should reduce season ticket costs. One for the Football Regulator.

Late to this, but an absolutely brilliant conversation with Dan, @TFMick1892 and veteran supporter David, who must be one of only a few still alive who attended all three NUFC winning 1950s cup finals 🖤🤍
It was a treat to interview David Waugh on the @tfNUFC pod (alongside @TFMick1892) to mark David’s *eight* decades of going to St James’ Park open.spotify.com/episode/7z0…

I went to this game at SJP. Played Rep. of Ireland. Keegan took charge of the team as a one off! No idea why.
How many of these England U21's from 1994 can you name???

Was in Marrakesh for international break, good to switch off from the football. Just back - have I missed anything?

Feel sick.
That Gazza goal vs Scotland is now further from today than Geoff Hurst’s World Cup winner was from Euro 96. Yes. You're old.

Majority of fans said they didn’t want a major change to the existing crest. Club listened, streamlined the current version and made it better for a modern, contemporary environment. I think it’s great.
Every crest has a story. Ours is forged by our city’s history, fuelled by our ambition, and drives us into our future. We are proud to introduce the new club crest chosen by our supporters to represent Newcastle United. The new crest will be used from today and will be put in place progressively across physical signage and digital and broadcast platforms over the coming months. It will be in place on our kits for the 2027/28 season.

Alan Pardew banned me for writing a completely accurate story about a dressing room clash that was sourced from two players, a member of his staff and a club executive. He then lied about it to the rest of the media pack and said it was nothing to do with him. The club withdrew its threat of legal action and we refused to apologise for publishing an accurate story. He created the toxic atmosphere and almost got relegated in his second full season surviving on the final day. A very thin skinned individual who came up with the immortal line “this win is for Mike (Ashley)” #nufc
🗣️ "Joey Barton told me nobody wanted me there, Newcastle fans didn’t appreciate me, and the local media didn’t help - it led to a toxic atmosphere" 🤷‍♂️ Alan Pardew still feels hard done by over Newcastle spell 🔗 fourfourtwo.com/person/joey-…

Apart from my mam, dad and sister, I’ve never met another person with the surname Ketchell. Dad an only child, and both his parents died before I was born
If your'e interested in the distribution of surnames this is a brilliant link apps.geods.ac.uk/gbnames/ with an animation of surname distribution from 1851 onward. Try out the Gaelic-rooted surname Strachan (from a place) compared to its Northumbrian interpretation Straughan.
