This study provides new insights into the mental health and well-being of a diverse group of rugby players 🏉
👉 Over 50% of participants self-reported that rugby impacted ‘extremely’ positively on both their mental health and well-being
👉 Male, amateur and non-contact players had lower scores of psychological distress compared with their female, professional and contact-playing counterparts, respectively
👉 Non-contact rugby players were also found to have higher levels of well-being than contact rugby players
