Deep dive into life online - love this new piece by Rob and so pleased that the first time I’ve performed any of these concertos live was in the context of an AI-generated debate between three presidents
Do you want to hear an in-depth discussion between AI-generated Obama, Biden and Trump about Glazunov's saxophone concerto? In which case, boy have I got the piece for you. "content", music about the Internet, written for @DavidZucchi - recording below!

On Friday, I am releasing my solo debut album - a collection of pieces based on a set of tapes recorded by my father's family in 1959, a few years after the emigrated from Italy to Canada.
Congrats Paolo and @SawyerEditions - so pleased to have contributed to this album 🎷
Paolo Griffin’s “Supports and Surfaces” on Bandcamp’s Best of Contemporary Classical 2024 year-end list! So stoked to have this on Sawyer Editions! Congrats to Paolo and to all our friends on the list! daily.bandcamp.com/best-of-2…
On Friday, I am releasing my solo debut album - a collection of pieces based on a set of tapes recorded by my father's family in 1959, a few years after the emigrated from Italy to Canada.
They were recorded on a Geloso G 255 - "un magnetofono per tutti" - "a tape recorder for all", a portable radio-sized device that allowed for home recording. My uncle digitised them a few years ago and I've been obsessed with them since.
You can learn more about the album, listen to a preview, and preorder here - peopleplacesrecords.bandcamp… - very excited to share this, different from the sort of thing I usually do and very happy to have it out in the world soon. Many thanks to @peopleplacesrec for releasing!
Next week at Jesus College Oxford, performing "content" by @Robert_Laidlow for sax + electronics, which doesn't really begin to cover the scope of this piece - absolutely mad simulation of the experience of being online and all that entails, check it out eventbrite.co.uk/e/singulari…
also featuring @slampreasoprano performing "Singularity Songs" - will be great - free tickets - 5:30 pm at the Cheng Kar Shun Digital Hub - Thursday 5 December
Really looking forward to the next few weeks or so - exciting projects/dates including @mzduo1 debut album recording with @delphianrecords, Elbphilharmonie performance @alexpaxtonyeah and co, and an amazing new piece from @Robert_Laidlow, lots of notes, time to practice
