.@bondifinance is the first platform offering genuine single-name corporate bonds onchain. We built the first.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
.@aave v4 app times out before you can approve spending of the borrowed token on your multisig, and doesn't recognize the approved amount when you refresh the browser
Using DeFi, multisigs, and cold wallets is like chewing glass. It's not a surprise people get exploited all the time

Germany's debt-to-GDP ratio is 62.8%, France's is 119%. That's why you're paying higher interest rates.
Why should I use Securitize instead of a broker like IBKR?
If you want real tokenized stocks, use @Securitize.
If you prefer fake / synthetic tokenized stocks, use other platforms.

What is a Vault Bond Token share worth, and how does it move when the bond pays a coupon, gets called, amortizes or matures?

Reinvestment done mechanically, at any size: deposit Bond Tokens, hold one share, every coupon buys more bonds. 🌱
Why it matters and how it works👇
These accounts will recycle Argentine Peso and Turkish Lira hitting a new all-time low every few weeks as if it’s news
It’s like saying 2026 has surpassed 2025 as the latest year on record over and over again
Securities laws were written for an era when investors had to trust issuers and intermediaries to behave as promised
Token behavior can be programmed and executed deterministically and independently verified onchain
Applying rules designed for opaque, human-operated systems to programmable tokens was anachronistic
Very welcome news

Idea: boys trip to Caracas to bid on some Venezuelan microcaps
The political economy of fixing the deficit is a deeper problem than the deficit itself
The US deficit is structural, and the real long-term drivers are Social Security, Medicare and healthcare costs, plus a compounding interest expense. An aging population makes the first two structurally larger, while interest increasingly consumes the federal budget on its own
So the debt gets larger while the politically easiest things to cut get smaller relative to the things that are hardest to touch, because social security and medicare are politically radioactive to cut
And this connects to something Thiel himself wrote: people burdened by student debt and priced out of housing can end up with no stake in the current capitalist system, and therefore eventually turn against it
The top 10% now owns roughly 69% of US household wealth. So if socialist levels of taxes, lower future benefits or slower public spending are utilized to lower the fiscal deficit, while ownership of appreciating capital remains extremely concentrated, the problem can turn into a legitimacy problem for the current financial capitalist system
Taxing the billionaires doesn't solve the problem either. Billionaire wealth is usually concentrated in financial assets, but the federal deficit is an annual flow. Even enormous taxes on the very rich don't permanently close a structural deficit of this size
I believe a combination of higher taxes and lower benefits is inevitable in the medium term. However, there is one way of improving the problem without relying completely on this combination:
Growth
A counterpoint is that the congressional budget office already assumes a modest productivity dividend from AI, yet still projects federal debt rising dramatically over the coming decade
So for growth to materially change the fiscal trajectory, the AI productivity boom would probably have to be substantially larger than the baseline assumes
This creates a paradox:
What if AI succeeds spectacularly at solving the growth problem, but the gains accrue overwhelmingly to the owners of AI capital?
You could end up improving the fiscal deficit while making the other problem Thiel warned about worse: a much richer country in which an increasing share of people feel they have no meaningful ownership stake in the system producing that wealth
For most of human history, the economic problem was scarcity. AI is bringing us closer than ever to escaping that constraint through enormous productivity growth
But at this point I think it's safe to say that abundance doesn't necessarily imply broad prosperity
So perhaps the defining question of the next few decades is whether we can create abundance without creating techno-feudalism, rather than if we can leverage AI to create abundance
Peter Thiel says the growing US budget deficit is going to push America to "socialist levels of taxation" or massive cuts to welfare:
"You have basically three choices":
1. Massively cut spending
2. Massively hike taxes
3. Keep kicking the can down the road
"For close to 20 years, the answer's been #3.
"Ever since the 2008 crisis, we've just been borrowing more and more money."
"My intuition is we're close to point where that ends, and then you're going to be pushed to a very non-centrist solution of either socialist levels of taxation or some really tough austerity measures."
