We do learn but not in Zambia.
Of all the international students I've met from the Southern region of Africa I've never met one from Tanzania... They don't learn that side?

I had to fire my best engineer yesterday On Monday I asked him to work on a feature I estimated at least 8 weeks of work Tuesday morning he messages me: "done" I thought he was joking, but the feature worked perfectly "How did you manage to do it so fast?" I asked him "Oh I just used ChatGPT and Claude" "You did fucking what?!" I screamed Our company data, sent to American servers I called legal and HR into the room immediately He was terminated within the hour Then I deleted the entire feature from our website We will rebuild it from scratch, without using any AI No wonder 90% of American startups fail if they cut corners like this

I remain Jesus-Curious, but I want to be real for a minute and say some things: - I was shocked by the music before it began, it was so beautiful. I didn't know that people looked like that when they sang along; like so connected to something. I cried a lot during the music and don't know why. - I knew that Charlie was a Christian, but I didn't know that he did all of this for Jesus. I knew he loved Jesus, but I thought more about his drive for social change and real leaders. I didn't know he like literally did it all for Jesus. - If @bennyjohnson was a pastor, I would go to that church every week. - I realize a big thing I am afraid of with it is having to change. I would have to change. What Erika said about the answer is love and always love... I'd have to change. I don't know. But I do know that I came to X to complain about the USDA and now I'm writing my feelings about Jesus on the internet. I have met so many amazing people here who believe in Jesus and I never expected that. This was long.

I listened to Erika Kirk’s full speech at the memorial, and I want to share a few thoughts that came to me while live streaming the event. This is not political. First, I should say that I grew up as a Muslim in a Muslim country. I don’t know enough about Christianity to say if what I witnessed is rooted in faith or culture. But what struck me most was how, even though death is heavy and this was by nature a sad occasion, the entire event carried a celebratory spirit that honored life. That contrast hit me deeply. In Islam, even though we believe that good people go to heaven, the relationship with God is taught through fear. Funerals are overwhelmingly sad, often filled with warnings of the terrifying first night in the grave. Growing up hearing that, and then witnessing people celebrate life, speak of God’s love, and remember someone through the impact he had on others; it felt so refreshing, so positive. Second, I was profoundly moved by @MrsErikaKirk’s words. I cannot fathom the strength it takes to stand and deliver such a meaningful speech after losing the love of your life. But even more than that, the grace it takes to forgive the very person who destroyed your world. I cannot imagine myself standing on a stage, sending love to those who cheered your husband’s murder, or inviting others to spread God’s love in response because, as she said, “we do not respond to hate with hate.” That is powerful beyond words. Again, I am ignorant when it comes to Christianity, but if this is what it truly embodies, then I am envious of those who get to experience that feeling.

Social medias are like stages where you can assume the world is watching, giving you the opportunity to showcase what you truly have to offer. Content is the new resume.

Does there exist yet an AI phone receptionist that can answer and qualify calls, take messages and only ring me for urgent authenticated phone calls or ones directly from my friends and family? I want to switch my main number to an AI phone screener. Seems easily built.

Can't believe this was a year ago already 😳 An app I launched in 48 hours, with just a Typeform to collect payments and emails. No back-end, no framework. 3 months later, I sold it for $65,000 (+$20,000 of profit it made) Life changing, in Asia that's a couple of years of savings. Don't over-engineer, ship something simple and focus on marketing
I just sold MakeLogo.ai for $65,000 🤩🚀 Launched it 3 months ago, with 0 budget and less than 600 followers. I learned to code only 9 months ago. Big thanks @agazdecki & @acquiredotcom to have made it possible! If you're curious, here is the whole story: December 2022, 20:40. I had a sudden idea. What if I made an app to generate logos using AI? I was making AI logos already for my other projects, so I knew how to do it. However, I needed to validate 2 hypotheses: 🤔 Can I make logos in an automated way? 🤔 Would people pay for it? I decided to make an MVP in 48 hours, as deadlines are the way to go when launching anything: xitter.cf/nico_jeannen/sta… 48 hours, 1 earthquake and 2 power outages later, I had my crappy MVP ready 🥳 By crappy I mean a static HTML page linked to a Typeform to collect payment. The back end was literally me generating the logos and sending them by email. No framework, no fancy stuff, just text and pictures. I made a few posts on Twitter and generated a couple of sales from it: xitter.cf/nico_jeannen/sta… Sales = Validation. The next step was to make an automated version, so I made another challenge of making an automated version in 48h and launching it on @ProductHunt 🚀🚀 And oh boy, things went crazy! I launched on December 11 and generated +$1000 of sales, ended up Product of the Day, and got tons of followers on Twitter, so I knew I was into something 🤩 However, it was far from perfect. Lots of logos needed additional editing or ended up weird because the customer inputs/prompts weren't good. So, I started from scratch again and made a brand new version in January. The new version offered way more options, and better results overall ✨ Then, I added the app to every startup directory I could put my hand on. And that's how most of my traffic came. I also kept posting on Twitter, every time someone asked "what are you working on?" I replied with the name of the app, and the same when someone asked for AI-generated logos 🤓 And... That's pretty much it. I tried to run some ads on Twitter & Reddit but it didn't work that much, as it's not targeted enough. Now, I don't have much interest in logo/design, and I don't have the technical skills to improve the app further, so, I decided to sell it in February. @acquiredotcom made the process pretty easy, I received a few offers, and ended up choosing the best offer. Then I did the transfer and here we are 🥳 In total, the app made +$23,000 in sales and $15,000 in profit. So, that's around $80,000 in total (profit + sale), which is equivalent to at least 5 years of safety net where I live 😱 If you want a more detailed post, I wrote everything I was doing in real-time back then: jeannen.com/making-ai-logo/ Now, keep in mind that it's not my first shot at entrepreneurship. In the last 5 years, I launched around 35 projects and most were total failures. Just between October and December 2022, I released 7 different apps. I never gave up. I kept showing up. It's a number game. The odds are against you, but at some point, you'll get something that sticks 😉 So... What's next? 🤔 I hate customer service. So I hired an assistant to do it on MakeLogo.ai. But in most cases, it's the same questions over and over. So I made an app to help my assistant works 2x faster. Last weekend, I made a post to show it and some people asked for a public app, so I made it. If you want to join the beta, you can go to galeby.com. For testers, it's $15/month forever instead of +$30 later. It's also a crappy MVP, there is not even a Stripe integration, I’ll DM users to give them the payment link 😁 And again, thanks to everyone for the massive support I got with MakeLogo along the way. Couldn't have done it without you 🥰

Listening to your partner talk on a work video call will have you wondering which stranger is talking. Suddenly she is eloquent, making decisions, assertively saying NO to requests, assigning people tasks and giving updates. But when she is around u, she is just a helpless girl
