I am not here. I am only on here when severe weather strikes, for my weather list. I am elsewhere:

Does anyone know of a good, "simple" audio reading of Scripture, preferable NLT or NIV, that is NOT dramatized and is not what I would call "overly religiously cheesy"? Not looking for multiple readers in a dramatic fashion.

We don't talk nearly enough about how fast people have abandoned marriage as an institution.

According to this survey over half of missionaries attribute discomfort over raising money as a factor affecting their return home.
Perhaps more training is required in this area, including on the theology of partnership, stewardship and support.

People do not drift toward Holiness. Apart from grace-driven effort, people do not gravitate toward godliness, prayer, obedience to Scripture, faith, and delight in the Lord. We drift toward compromise and call it tolerance; we drift toward disobedience and call it freedom...

Believe it or not, this September was the 2ND warmest on record NOT the warmest! 2019 was the warmest. How is that possible with all the 100s and record highs this Sept.?
In 2019, the mornings were warmer overall and that month only had 1 day with a high below 90°. #wfaaweather

A Saudi court has sentenced a man to death based solely on his Twitter& YouTube activity.
Repression has reached a terrifying new stage when a court can hand down the death penalty for nothing more than tweets. Saudi authorities should quash the verdict.

Want some good weather news? Tuesday marks the first day where the DFW normal high drops from 97 to 96, meaning the hottest part of the year is over. Of course it can still be hot, but the days of extreme heat are numbered.

@LinkedInHelp my Linked In account has been blocked. I don't know why. Here's what happened. I had a Linkedin account with primary email of [email protected]. I haven't used that account in a long time. When I went to re-use it, I couldn't regenerate the password because...
So, I opened a NEW Linkedin account with primary email address [email protected]. I had barely re-connected that account with 20 people, and was adding some more, when suddenly that account was banned. I'm not sure why?
