been in the @try_soma private beta and it's a crazy tool. it reads your cognitive fitness from your voice - baseline, load, acuity, all from how you speak. no wearable, no extra hardware. speech is the most cognitively demanding thing we do all day and @jialiiiz + team built an instrument around it. health tracking that lives in something you already do. big fan.
phonetic convergence ! one of my favorite things in speech science. you really do drift toward whoever you talk to most
you sound like the people you feel socially close to
since @try_soma's voice prints are like myers-briggs for your voice, see if your voice prints are the same as your friends' :^)
for the next 7 days, every user gets unlimited referrals
i'm still looking for more of my wildflower crew, lmk if that's you <3

this is why we do what we do at @try_soma. we're rolling out access in batches, if you want priority access, just dm me and i'll speedrun your access
Got access to @try_soma today and honestly, I am so glad this exists.
I get very neurotic about the way I conversate to the point I feel like i've cognitively declined, but I have no baseline to compare myself against, so it just festers in the back of my mind.
Thankfully with Soma, I can now measure this concretely, and get the insights I need.
I do recommend however @jialiiiz that the user gets the option to get asked questions or given topics. Not sure if this would help with the quality of data, but it would definitely help give the conversation some direction.

Neuroscout update!
We've released new Python utils for fetching pre-extracted predictors and preprocessed imaging data from the API.
We also developed two tutorials showing how to use these utilities for custom voxelwise encoding workflows.
