Definitely a good day. Thanks for remembering!
Jeff Reboulet hit this 3-2, first-inning homer off Randy Johnson in Game 4 of the ALDS on this date in 1997. Manager Davey Johnson gave @JReb36 the start at second over Hall of Famer Roberto Alomar! Mike Mussina was dominant as the Orioles won 3-1, clinching a trip to the ALCS.

Orioles Hall of Famer Mike Bordick RIPPING into the O's coaching staff, front office, and every other analytical dork around the league that has ruined the game of baseball:

Thanks for the kind words. I always enjoy giving back to this great game!
One of the best infield coaches a player could ask for, Jeff attended our @OhioWarhawks camp and worked with many local players, if you are an infielder in Dayton, Ohio area and you want to work with one of the best, then this 12-year @MLB veteran would be a great choice!

A lot of special memories for me at the Old Alex Box Stadium. One of my best decisions was to play baseball at LSU. She didnt look like much when I showed up in the Fall of 1984, but by 1986 season (ranked #1) the place was rocking! @LSUbaseball
Tomorrow 18 years ago May 11th 2008 the very last Regular Season @LSUbaseball Game was played at the Old Alex Box Stadium. The Tigers beat Miss. State 9-6 to wrap up the series sweep. It won’t be talked about tomorrow morning on @Eagle981 because of @MSouthern981!

10 Years of Service Time: the Holy Grail for Players. Throughout history, fewer than 10% of Players have possessed the combination of talent, health, resilience, perseverance and good fortune to achieve the feat. This April, Sean Manaea joined the Ten Years fraternity! Manaea was selected in the first round of the 2011 draft by Kansas City. He spent the first six seasons of his Major League career with the Oakland Athletics before stints in San Diego, San Francisco and the Mets. The Indiana native has started over 200 games and struck out over 1,200 hitters throughout his career. Congratulations, Sean, on reaching 10 Years of Service Time!

According to science, Nolan Ryan’s fastest pitch was 108.5 mph. I suppose it’s no wonder why he has the most: • no-hitters • one-hitters • two-hitters • three-hitters • 200-K seasons • 300-K seasons • strikeouts in a year • strikeouts in a career

Not going to happen on my watch. Always teach respect for the game. Energy for your team, toward your team, is encouraged. If any disrespect creeps in, it becomes a teaching moment and is NOT overlooked. This will only change as more and more coaches & parents do their part.
Are high school, travel, and college coaches scared to lose players if they don’t let them act like absolute idiots. I’m talking about going past the line and that’s what’s happening now. Seeing it at every level. How do we fix it? @Javi_DeJesus13 @robyounce @nextlevelbb

💯 "You are who you are". A lot of players try to be a HR guy when they are singles, doubles and occasional HR. Coaching only HR guys is the culprit of the K epidemic, in my opinion.
How do you fix strikeouts? Alex Cora jokes: "I don't know, because I never struck out." "You're not going to go from 28% strikeout rate to 18%. Impossible... If you've got that hitting coach, let me know. I'll give him my salary and I retire." @WMUR9 #DirtyWater

10 Years of Service Time: the Holy Grail for Players. Throughout history, fewer than 10% of Players have possessed the combination of talent, health, resilience, perseverance and good fortune to achieve the feat. Each month throughout the 2026 season, we will once again recognize the newest members of the Ten Years fraternity. Austin Hedges was selected in the second round of the 2011 draft by San Diego and spent parts of six seasons in a Padres uniform before stops in Pittsburgh, Texas and Cleveland. The California native has hit 74 career homers while earning a reputation for clubhouse leadership and solid defense behind the plate. Congratulations on reaching ten years of service time, Austin!

I have his last game glove in my house. I always used his glove in games (outfield glove) because I didn't have one. He told me to "keep it, I won't need it for a while". I miss that guy every day. #TheBestEver
.@MikeTrombley21 was sitting at his locker, staring at his first check. Kirby Puckett walked by and said “first big league check, huh?” Trombley nodded with a proud smile. Puck reached into his pocket, pulled out a big roll of money, and asked “you want me to cash it for you?”

Replying to @M_Gerber17
So much more goes into hitting than mechanics and swing. This is what the majority of even the industry doesn’t understand. Real world experience on approach is what’s missing. Give me 9 guys with solid approaches over 9 guys with nice swings!!

Reggie is a great baseball man! I love listening to him whenever he talks hitting. What a great player and well deserved!
Congrats to Reggie! A good man. I’ve been fortunate to work with Reggie in Vero Beach at the Hank Aaron Invitational.

Interesting stat. I kind of like that one. 😂⚾️
9% of home runs hit against Randy Johnson in 1997 were hit by Jeff Reboulet. @jreb36 ⚾️
