The Indian Express got the data. Between March and July 2026, nearly 1.95 lakh blocking orders went to Instagram, Facebook and YouTube.
That's around 1,275 every single day. One every 68 seconds.
A year earlier, the same Home Ministry portal sent about 6 orders a day. Six.
And when the story came out, the government's own "clarification" made it worse. It said the real number was nearly 2.98 lakh.
One order can cover hundreds of posts and accounts. Meta has plugged its system straight into the Home Ministry's portal, so flagged posts can disappear without any human even reviewing them.

Bhaaji let me give you some facts:
1. one PM from BJP used to have a married woman along with her husband and daughter stay at the PM House and everyone knows he was in love with the woman...
2. The other PM from BJP left his wife and ran away from his wife, never acknowledged his wife till law forced that no column can be left blank (including marital status). Then this same old man was accused of getting state machinery to spy on a woman half her age because of possessive and jealous behaviours.
