This is a video grab from Nagerbazar, where some jombies attacked a #BookStall & said what is written in these books? "Kashmir Maangey Azaadi" Incidentally the book he is holding is written by Sarat Chandra Chattopadhay, a famous Bengali writer. They don't even heard his name.
Never in our bloodline we Bengalis have seen these jombies trying to take control of our #DurgaPuja with these type of slogans & destroy #BookStalls like this. Have you @SamikBJP?

If this return of IPS officers can be done now for controlling of #DurgaPuja, why were they transferred in the first case?

আপনি পুলিশ মন্ত্রী কে বলুন এই দুঃখজনক ঘটনার পরিপ্রেক্ষিতে যেন অন্যান্য পুজো গুলোকে নিয়ে চিন্তাভাবনা করেন। উনি অনেক বেশি চিন্তিত বামপন্থীদের বইয়ের স্টল ভাঙা নিয়ে। আপনি কি সব গণতন্ত্রের কথা বলেন আর পুলিশ মন্ত্রী স্টল ভাঙতে উদ্যত। প্রায়োরিটি ঠিক করাটা জরুরি। বন্ধ হোক নাটক।
অত্যন্ত মর্মান্তিক ও দুঃখজনক ঘটনা। এই কঠিন সময়ে সর্বাগ্রে প্রয়োজন সংবেদনশীলতা, ধৈর্য এবং সত্য উদ্ঘাটনের জন্য নিরপেক্ষ তদন্ত।
ঘটনাস্থলে উপস্থিত ACP-র প্রাথমিক তথ্য অনুযায়ী, একটি বেসরকারি নিরাপত্তা সংস্থার ঘোষণা এবং কয়েকবার হুইসেল বাজানোর পর পরিস্থিতির সূত্রপাত হয়েছে বলে জানা যাচ্ছে। তবে তদন্ত সম্পূর্ণ হওয়ার আগে কোনও সিদ্ধান্তে পৌঁছনো সমীচীন নয়। মুখ্যমন্ত্রী হিসেবে শ্রী শুভেন্দু অধিকারীর বক্তব্যে সেই দায়িত্বশীল মনোভাবই প্রতিফলিত হয়েছে—তদন্ত শেষ না হওয়া পর্যন্ত কোনও আগাম মন্তব্য নয়, বরং পূর্ণ স্বচ্ছতার সঙ্গে সঠিক তদন্তের আশ্বাস।
পুজো কমিটির সদস্য ও নিরাপত্তা সংস্থার কর্মীদের আটক করে ঘটনার সমস্ত দিক খতিয়ে দেখার প্রক্রিয়া শুরু হয়েছে বলে জানানো হয়েছে। পাশাপাশি, ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত পরিবারগুলির পাশে থাকার এবং তাঁদের প্রয়োজনীয় সবরকম সহায়তা দেওয়ার আশ্বাসও অত্যন্ত গুরুত্বপূর্ণ।
এই শোকের মুহূর্তে কোনওরকম রাজনৈতিক চাপানউতোর নয়, বরং ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত পরিবারগুলির পাশে দাঁড়ানো, প্রকৃত সত্য উদ্ঘাটন এবং দোষীদের আইন অনুযায়ী বিচারের আওতায় আনা—এটাই হওয়া উচিত আমাদের সকলের অগ্রাধিকার।
স্বচ্ছ তদন্ত, মানবিক সহায়তা এবং ন্যায়বিচার—এই তিনটি বিষয়ই এখন সবচেয়ে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ।

গত ৫০ বছরে একজন মানুষের মৃত্যু এই দুর্গাপুজোয় ঘটেছে এইরকম ভীড়ের চাপে, যদি তথ্য সহকারে দেখাতে পারেন তো আসবেন, না হলে ফালতু কথা বলতে আসবেন না। আসলে একটা কথা মনে রাখবেন।

মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর প্রথম ও প্রধান কাজ যারা দেশের স্বার্থের বিরোধী তাদের দেশ ছাড়া করা। একটা দুর্ঘটনার অথবা কে হাতিয়ার করে যারা আনরেস্ট সৃষ্টি করার চেষ্টা করে তারা ষড়যন্ত্রী। দুর্ঘটনা কোনো ত্রুটির কারণেই ঘটে। মুখ্যমন্ত্রী ইতিমধ্যে দায়ভার স্বীকার করেছেন। পুলিশ কর্মী সব মণ্ডপেই দায়িত্বে থাকেন। দায়িত্ব তাদের একার না। দায়িত্ব প্রত্যেক মানুষের। খুব ই দুঃখজনক। কিন্তু এটা বিজেপির দোষ এই কথাটা যতটা অপ্রাসঙ্গিক তার থেকেও বেশি নির্বোধের পরিচয় দেয়। মুখ্যমন্ত্রী কখনোই চান না একটাও দুর্ঘটনা ঘটুক। তাও তো প্রত্যেক দিন ঘটেই চলেছে। এটা কি ভাবে বন্ধ করে ফেলা সম্ভব সেটার একটা মাস্টার প্ল্যান জমা করুন। মূর্খের মতো সমালোচনা বা গালাগাল করার তো কোনো রেজাল্ট নেই।
মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর কাজ বামেদের স্টল ভাঙ্গার জন্য পুলিশ আর কেন্দ্রীয় বাহিনী পাঠানো তাইতো?
যাদবপুর বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের সামনে নাগা সন্ন্যাসীদের নিয়ে এসে একসঙ্গে মিছিল করা তাইতো? কোনটা বেশি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ সেটা যদি মুখ্যমন্ত্রী না বুঝতে পারেন তাহলে আপনাদের মত প্রফেসররা আছেন কেন?

A forensic examination should be conducted tomorrow morning, following proper legal procedures. Whatever the law requires should be followed. As the administrative head, I should visit the site of the incident. However, I will not take any action that could destroy evidence before the forensic team arrives. I will not do that...”
