Face it MAGAts, lifting Russian sanctions is the textbook definition of giving aid and comfort to the enemy

We are past the point of political disagreement. We are witnessing a catastrophic collision between unchecked narcissism and obvious neurological decay. It is the most dangerous intersection in American history: a man with the absolute power of the Presidency and the absolute cognitive failure of a person no longer tethered to reality.

Reminder: The Wall Street Journal reported in 2024 that Elon Musk had been in regular contact with Vladimir Putin since late 2022
WSJ: Elon Musk ordered the slowdown of the military-grade Starlink network used by Ukraine, according to U.S. officials and people familiar with the matter.
Trump and Musk have both expressed anger at Ukraine for attacking Russian diesel refineries, which Trump blames for high energy prices. Last week, Musk capped the connection speeds of Ukrainian devices, rendering some attack drones and interceptor drones virtually useless.

American officials are quietly preparing for the possibility that the president of the United States will try to undermine his own country’s elections.
Not Russia or China. The president of the United States.
State officials are being advised to prepare for potential federal interference in the midterms—the very elections that could limit Trump’s power.
This is precisely why dismissing Trump as merely erratic or “crazy” is so dangerous. His attacks on democratic norms have a political purpose: weaken trust, intimidate institutions, and make accountability harder.
We saw where that logic led in 2020. Now officials are preparing for the possibility of another test.
A democracy should never have to build defenses against its own president. But here we are. Trump really needs to be impeached.

I’ll stipulate that Trump is an agent of Putin.
Go down the checklist.
1. Destroyed the Western alliance? Putin wanted that.
2. Threatened a NATO ally over Greenland? Putin wanted that.
3. Pulled out of the intermediate nuclear pact? Putin wanted that.
4. Withdrawing 25-40,000 troops from Western Europe while Russian bellicosity is rising? Putin wanted that.
5. Russian satellites giving coordinates to Iranians killing our soldiers, and his response is “they kill us, we kill them”? What American president says that?
I think he’s been compromised.
The election of Donald Trump may be the greatest foreign policy success in post-Czarist Russian history.

Ukraine was winning the war, so Trump kneecapped Ukraine to help Russia.
I wish it weren’t that simple, but it is. Our president is in bed with our enemies.

We’re not talking nearly enough about the sitting president of the United States sending our troops to die in a war while aligning our country with the dictator helping to kill them.
Acton releases a response from her brother, which makes me think this will become even more of a backfire. Vivek has simultaneously elevated the horrific story of her upbringing, framed her as someone who's overcome unthinkable horror, and painted himself as a sleeze
Two Kenosha brothers who paid $1,000 each for a Milwaukee Brewers "Timeless Ticket" more than a decade ago say the team isn't fully honoring the promise that came with it — the chance to sit in the best available seats for a game as big as the World Series.

You know what's crazy to me?
1% of the U.S. population is Muslim.
1% of the U.S. population is transgender.
1.6% of U.S. men identify as gay.
1.4% of U.S. women identify as lesbian.
But these statistic’s make up 100% of MAGA's talking points.

As someone who also has an abusive biological mother who lost custody, @VivekGRamaswamy or whoever contacted this woman on his behalf can go fuck themselves for turning this into a cheap October surprise. An estranged abuser isn’t a credible judge of character. You are scum 🗑
BOMBSHELL:
Ohio Democratic gubernatorial candidate Amy Acton’s own mother urges voters not to vote for her daughter.
“My name is Donna Arthur and I’m Amy Acton’s mother. I worked at Children and Family Service Association, building one of the first two sexual abuse programs in America.
I love my daughter, but when I saw her lying about her opponent—and it’s not easy for a mother to say this—but Amy has a serious problem.
She is a liar. She lies about her past. She says she grew up living in a tent. None of that is true. She’s lied her entire life.
My daughter needs help, and she can’t help you if she needs help herself. People can change, but first they have to tell the truth, and my daughter still isn’t doing that.
Don’t vote for people who lie. Don’t let her become your governor. If you think she’ll make your life better, you’re fooling yourself. It will only get worse.”
That’s one hell of an October surprise.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Acton's mother lost custody of her children after years of documented issues, including time spent living in a tent and a spouse who sexually abused her daughter Amy (Acton). Amy Acton's brother has also confirmed this story.

. — @VivekGRamaswamy, what kind of sick, morally bankrupt piece of shit exploits a woman’s rape at 12 years old to win an election? You gave her estranged, abusive mother a platform to weaponize the worst trauma of her childhood.
There is something profoundly fucking wrong with you. And you have no business holding public office.

This Ramaswamy ad against Acton is going to backfire more spectacularly on him and the usual suspects of paid right-wing influencer grifters than the Talarico hoax. Just terrible people continuing to do terrible things. Vote them all out.

This may do numbers on Twitter but given that Acton's troubled childhood is probably known to Ohio voters (the court took custody away from her mother when she was 12) it might not resonate so well there

"I've never been indicted for fraud. I've never been reported to the FBI for bribery. I've never been impeached by my own party, and I've never given a sweetheart deal to a pedophile.
"I have a different kind of experience. I've worked with both parties to cap the cost of insulin and pass the largest property tax cut in Texas history. I'm James Tallarico and I approve this message because we need a different kind of experience in Washington."

Three people murdered an hour ago in southern Kyiv, with six others injured, three of which are children.
