Huge thanks to Sir John Rutter (@johnmrutter) for conducting this beautiful performance of one my tunes (published by OUP/@OUPMusic)! And thank you to Cambridge Singers and the @royalphilorch for gorgeous singing and playing. Looking forward to the album!
Out today! The second single from A Cambridge Christmas is Matthew Owens’ arrangement of The Holly and the Ivy. Listen out for the woodwind dancing merrily above the melody – like little Christmas elves!

For me, Choral Evensong is one of the crowning inventions of the Anglican Church, and one of the best free musical experiences to be had in this country. JR telegraph.co.uk/radio/what-t…

The BBC first broadcast Choral Evensong on 7 October 1926 in a service live from Westminster Abbey. On the exact date of the 100th anniversary, the programme returns to the Abbey this afternoon for a celebratory service to mark the occasion.
Ahead of the service, composer Sir John Rutter reflects on the enduring appeal of the BBC's longest-running outside broadcast: telegraph.co.uk/radio/what-t…

ALT An elevated, wide-angle shot captures a service in progress inside Westminster Abbey. Two rows of choir stalls face each other across a wide black-and-white checkered tiled floor that stretches toward the High Altar in the background. High stone arches and columns rise above the congregation, with natural light streaming in from the left and a stained-glass window visible on the right. The stalls on both sides are filled with a mix of choir members in traditional white surplices and red cassocks, and congregation members in casual, modern attire. Lit lamps with small red shades are mounted on the wooden ledges in front of the seating. A priest in a white robe stands in the middle of the aisle facing the choir on the right.

Thank you @Spotify for adding 'Was I the lamb?' to the New Classical playlist: open.spotify.com/playlist/37…
Here’s a little something from my new album. I composed "Was I the lamb?" for @MertonCollChoir. The carol having received an Oxford performance, I thought it only fair that it should receive a Cambridge recording. Here it's sung by The Cambridge Singers: lnk.to/WasITheLamb

A highlight was the unveiling of a beautiful new bust of Charles Wood, sculpted by Naomi Sander of Studio Sander and Sander — a lasting tribute marking 100 years since Wood's death and celebrating his musical legacy.
