If the reason for this ban was, as Streeting says here, "medicine was given to vulnerable young children without the evidence that it was safe," then he would ban puberty blockers for all children. He has banned them only for trans children. Because it's not about safety.
Puberty blockers for children with gender dysphoria are being banned indefinitely in the UK, following the Cass Review.
