With wetter, more windy weather already in the forecast we're taking steps to mitigate any impact on performance for all our customers 👇 @LNER @NetworkRailEC
New drone technology is helping our teams respond more quickly and safely to severe weather on the East Coast Main Line.
By providing views of hard-to-reach areas, drones can help engineers make informed decisions to keep passengers and freight moving.

Good to see use of this technology being further extended on the network. Already fitted to several @LNER Azumas & Class 91s, PANDAS identifies potential overhead line issues before they cause an issue. Next to fit similar onto @GNRailUK @TLRailUK units @NetworkRailEC 👇 – at York, England
👀 Did you know we've installed cameras and sensors on the roof of some @ScotRail trains to monitor our overhead line equipment?
It's called PANDAS-V and helps us spot problems like this loose connection at Dumbarton, before it causes delays to your journey. ⚡
