They knew it was patently untrue.
I can confirm, despite the PSNI assessment that dissidents may have had ready access to weapons on Garvaghy road, no surveillance was launched to follow potential weapons.
There was no contact with security services and no counter terrorism specialist firearms teams were put in place at any point.
Serious questions now being asked of the PSNI that if they believed weapons were on the road why they did not follow that belief @BelTel

So, it's a no win for Bryson and Lockhart
There was clearly no evidence of any weapons if they couldn't be bothered to follow up on " intelligence" that there were
So this nonsense can be put to bed
Something very odd about this Nolan lad!
Why is Stephen Nolan refusing to talk about Jeffrey Donaldson?
He banged on for years about Bobby Storys funeral. He's been banging on about Michelle O'Neill for weeks now every single day on his show, yet he refuses to talk about a much bigger story in Jeffrey Donaldson. For months his line was 'No no no we can't talk about that as there's a live case ongoing' - fair enough but since his conviction he refuses to let the public call in and give their opinion. He has grilled absolutly NOBODY in the DUP about who knew what in terms of his hidden life in London, drinking, gay saunas.
His complete and obvious avoidance of the Jeffrey subject really is just plain weird to me. I can’t help but think he has a hidden life himself perhaps? ..

I watched a very heartfelt and plausible performance last night from @duponline about his “belief” that “rumours” he’d heard were true.
Did you do anything @GRobinsonDUP about rumours about #JeffreyDonaldson - your predecessor - being a rapist and sexual predator?
Daniel McCrossan had a few things to say to Jim Allister on the BBC last night.
People are sick and tired of the shouting, division and constant threats to bring down Stormont.
There are real problems facing our communities. Surely it’s time we started focusing on fixing them?

Binboy and wee Jum making up shite is no surprise, but today of all days, do not allow them to distract from the sentencing of their comrade Jeffrey. Every possible deflection will be tried out today, but nothing should take the spotlight away from their depraved friend.

#jeffreydonaldson has been sentenced to 15 years for 18 child sex abuse convictions including one of rape plus multiple counts of indecent assault and gross indecency. He abused two young girls over what Judge Paul Ramsey described as a protracted period of time.

Perception of two tier policing?

For those shocked at Nolan's conduct tonight, something to consider.
A few days ago on Nolan, Garvaghy resident Dessie, a soft spoken decent man said he wanted to "reach out a hand of friendship to the Orange Order".
Nolan snapped : "It's a bit late now!"
The agenda is clear.

Nolan allowing wild rumour based claims. Gavin Robinson given time to deliver these unproven mad claims. Where is the evidence? Do they think the good people of Garvaghy road would be that stupid.

Garvaghy Residents were “minutes away from having a nuclear device!”
If you listen to Unionists tonight on Nolan.
These rumours and innuendo will end up with someone losing their life! #DangerousTalk

In just over 12 hours, on October 15, 2026, former DUP leader #jeffreydonaldson will stand in the dock of Newry Crown Court as he is sentenced for 18 child sex abuse convictions. He has applied for a grant to appeal each of the convictions. I will bring you the tariff when I get it.

Gavin Robinson on Nolan tonight stating he “believes” the “rumours” of “firearms” on the Garvaghy Road & that Orange Men and Police would have been shot is incredibly reckless.
This is nothing more than a desperate attempt to both demonise residents & pacify the DUP extremists

@BBCNolan is hosting a show discussing “a rumour by Loyalists” that the Police thought there was a possibility of guns being on the Garvaghy Road.
Jesus wept, is this what they call journalism today ?🤷♂️
I heard a rumour “there was gold on that road”, that’s why I went there.😀
