On the @jogtrail in May. Blessed with beautiful weather.
Whinging about whins - yeah they're colourful and pretty and smell SO. DAMN. GOOD... but they're a bit of an nuisance for walkers.
Thanks to our volunteers we've created gorse-idors for walkers to navigate without getting scratched!

Walked another section of the @jogtrail today. The vertiginous cliffs have gone, but the scenery and beaches are spectacular. #amwalking

🗣️ Frank describing the John O'Groats Trail: "The coastal scenery is just amazing... I can’t believe that I’ve lived so near all this for 50 years and I’ve only become aware of it because I’ve done this walk."
A fantastic day and moment from a brilliant and worthy adventure!
Frank "loved every minute" of his walk.

Great turnout at John O'Groats to welcome retired vet Frank Stephen at the end of his two-week walk up the 147-mile @jogtrail raising £18,375 for @alzscot with more to come. He actually walked 174 miles, including Ben Bhraggie, yet still felt “fresh as a daisy”. Story to follow.

First a bit of hill walking, and then a bit of beach walking. Perfect day on the @jogtrail #amwalking

We possess only the most 🤌vertiginous🤌 of cliffs here on the #jogtrail!
Todays walk. Nine miles of uneven ground and vertiginous cliffs - so I’m exhausted, but it was worth every second. #AmWalking @jogtrail
We met with @Jamie4North last week on a gloriously sunny day - much like today - down in Brora.
Always good to keep our representatives (and Patron!) up-to-date on Trail progress.
We'll get him strimming on the Trail yet.

He's on his way!
Frank Stephen is tackling the #JOGTrail as part of his mission to raise funds for @alzscot, for his wife Moira.
Moira was diagonsed with Alzheimers in 2019, and has recently been admitted to a care home.

Great to meet two JOGT finishers yesterday. Will from England and Chris from Germany - who completed the route within 15 minutes of each other!
Looking like it's going to be a bonny few days of weather, so get out and about and enjoy the Trail!
