During Covid 2020, nurses who were due to leave the NHS decided to stay.
In the face of a relatively unknown pathogen and at risk to themselves, they stayed.
Don’t question their commitment.
Question why, after 12yrs, they are 20% poorer.

Did anyone else feel that the headline might be open to misinterpretation?

One for #throwbackthursday: a few years back I stood outside Wells Cathedral for a full day and photographed the impact of the light on the front facade. I was amazed at the outcome - at how a single entity could morph and change under the changing light.
Appalling

Are you following @ReviveTheNHS yet? It’s our new account - the media is not properly covering the NHS crisis, and we believe that the public needs to hear information from NHS staff. It’s an emergency 🚨
Hoping to hit 15000 followers today 👉@ReviveTheNHS 💙

Stephen Colbert challenged Jimmy Carter to convert to Catholicism-the former President replied: “I will if a woman priest invites me!”
I’ve been living quite happily without Facebook. I indirectly and occasionally post on it via Instagram. Today I’m wondering if it is time to say goodbye to Twitter. – at Bagshot, South East

Another circle of Autumn leaves, this time all gathered on my woodland walk, where I found 18 different species. Wanted to show off the amazing variety of shape, size and colours, from the huge Northern Red Oak leaves to the tiny Sloe!🍂🍁🍂

As I've seen elsewhere: Waking up this morning, we have a Christian King, a Hindu Prime Minister, a Jewish Home Secretary and a Muslim Mayor of London.
You can disagree with personal politics, but that is a victory for a diverse, multicultural Britain - and we should be proud.

I know already that I am soon going to get very tired of pointing out that Sunak will not be our first ethnic minority PM.
A certain Benjamin Disraeli beat him by 154 years.

To my friends in the media:
This is a time of high drama, I agree. But while you gossip endlesly about who's in and who's out, you have almost entirely ignored the Public Order Bill that was passed in the Commons this week: the most draconian legislation of the modern era.

My son has lived through four chancellors, three home secretaries, two prime ministers and two monarchs.
He's four months old.

I love this video from RIKEN in Japan.
It models the flow of exhaled air in various different settings under different conditions.
As well as the flow patterns being very beautiful, it also highlights the importance of good quality masks (FFP2/FFP3)
