Finishing touches ahead of this evening’s State Banquet… ✨
Tonight, The King and Queen will host a State Banquet for the Sultan of Oman at Windsor Castle.
☕️ Inspired by the Omani ritual of Kahwa, a collection of special teas will be served.
While Kahwa is traditionally a spiced coffee, the concept has been adapted to draw on the long-standing British love of tea while preserving the aromatic spices and flavours that make Kahwa so distinctive: fragrant cardamom, delicate rose, sweet dates, and gentle warming spices.
Guests will be invited to choose from an Iced Earl Grey & Date, an Iced Mint & Rose, or a Warm Cardamom-Spiced Blend sweetened with Windsor Honey.
Together, they reflect the warmth and hospitality shared by both Omani and British traditions. 🇬🇧🇴🇲

High-key obsessed that the Danish Royal Court used Led Zeppelin for their posts about Day 1 of the Vietnamese State Visit!
Queen Mary wore Queen Alexandrine's sapphire tiara at this evening's state banquet.
The Danish Royal Collection acquired the tiara in 2024 and redesigned it, with Queen Mary's input, so that it can be worn as a tiara, necklace, or brooch.

Throughout the day, Norwegian TV has been speaking to people about King Harald and one word is said over and over again - fantastic.
It's clear that King Harald means a huge amount to many in Norway. People today have spoken of his kindness, his wisdom and his devotion to duty.
His motto is Alt for Norge, All for Norway. Now, his country waits for news of the king who has reigned since 1991 as his health worsens.
