I finally have a Fiio X1 gen 1 mp3 player! There are no cases for it (because it came out ~10 years ago) so I am committed to using it with a plastic bag on it!!!

ALT This is a very grainy picture because I took it with a Camp Snap camera!! Pictured: a small, ghostly-pink hand clasps an iPod-esque device, which is inside of a transparent plastic bag with a resealable ("ziplock") top. The device is made of champagne aluminum, with a 2.8" display screen and a circular black scroll wheel. An illuminated blue LED indicates the device is turned on and in use. Headphones are plugged into the device's headphone jack; the wire can be seen trailing out of the top of the plastic baggie.

As always @jennatar has got the goods. This breakdown of why Evil was sacrificed by Paramount is a fantastic diagnosis of the current streaming landscape.

hmmm I haven't yet read The Verge's "The Perfect Webpage" (aka "how google perfected the web"), but I FEEL like the widespread, utter illegibility of the internet COULD be a related subject
like I think these publishers have genuinely given up hope that actual human beings are still reading their websites, which is kind of a self-fulfilling prophecy especially when you... lay off your entire editorial staff, etc
feeling pure joy today at Brian Cox saying "Heihachi" in a soft lilting Scottish accent pajiba.com/miscellaneous/her…

this makes me so sad… there’s so much humor in this video but behind that is a real feeling of loss. it’s a small kind of grief to never be able to play a beloved game ever again

I fell deeply down the notable unicyclists hole and I would like to present this picture of young Donald Rumsfeld on a unicycle. Excuse me, I have to stare into the middle distance while thinking about this photo.
I've been playing all the different console versions of Paperboy in an effort to discern which is the "definitive" Paperboy. So far the main difference is, the Sega Master System version is filled with roving gangs of unicyclists. The primary obstacle is unicyclists
