Hi, Twitter. I am not deactivating this account, but I’ll no longer be posting here or reading DMs. You can find me sharing author news and other info on Threads/IG @ authorjenmathieu. Love to all. May tomorrow bring more justice and more peace. 💜
A colleague found me weeping at my desk. She offered to pray with me, and it was very comforting. People of faith, lean into your faith this morning.

Let's defeat this bad bond!
Every child—whether affluent or struggling, new to this nation or not, from Sunnyside to River Oaks—deserves to be nurtured, supported, inspired to love learning, and prepared not just for college or a career, but for a life of joy and purpose

This is your reminder to…
ALT Vice President Kamala Harris delivering remarks at a campaign event. Behind her are supporters and a "VOTE" banner.
The rhetoric coming out of this rally is so vile and horrifying. I did not think I still held the capacity for surprise, but I guess I do. Hell has a basement. We have to defeat him. We must.
I absolutely love the audio version of Lounge, all thanks to @LiSur!
Narrator @LiSur has a confession: She loved school! She tells AudioFile listeners about why she loved recording THE FACULTY LOUNGE by @jenmathieu, which explores the inner lives of teachers. @PRHAudio bit.ly/4fkzfQP
This four BILLION dollar bond allows for only 32 rebuilds out of 200 schools. What are they going to spend that money on?!? Miles is running HISD into the ground. He can’t be trusted with our money. Vote NO on the HISD bonds.
🏫 HISD’s proposed bond includes a $1.04B investment in single point of entry updates to District campuses. Watch the video to learn more about this proposed investment. 🛡️
Mitochondria are the powerhouse of the cell.
No offense to mitochondria. I'm sure they're working hard. But I would love to free up that brain space to remember to take my daily supplements.
I respect this so much. #bluebooksforlife

NEW: @HoustonChron’s Editorial Board says vote “NO” on @HoustonISD’s $4.4 billion school bond.
“The yard signs have it right: no trust, no bond,” they write. houstonchronicle.com/opinion…

I love our kids and I love our schools but under the current circumstances with HISD-the lack of accountability and trust-I stand in opposition to the HISD bonds. Please vote NO. st
