When former Supreme Court judges and former Election Commissioners raise concerns about SIR and the Election Commission, we cannot simply ignore their voices. The right to vote is not a favour granted by the government. It is a fundamental part of our democracy

BJP’s Model of Governance: Conduct SIR → Delete voters’ names → Vote Chori → Conduct elections → Introduce a new form to add back the deleted names.

A few years ago, Ashu had a high-paying corporate job in London, earning millions. Saurav was writing about the country’s legal system and living a great life. Both had successful careers, financial security and every reason to continue living the lives they had built for themselves. But they chose to give it all up in the hope of making this country a better place. They had absolutely no reason to leave behind their comfortable lives, take to the streets, face uncertainty and eventually end up in jail. Yet they did. What I admire most about these two is that despite coming from privileged backgrounds, they chose to fight for those who aren’t as fortunate. They could have easily looked the other way, enjoyed their lives and never bothered about the struggles of people they had never even met. Nobody asked them to make these sacrifices. Nobody expected them to. But they did, because they genuinely care about people beyond themselves. And to me, that is the greatest quality a human being can have. To stand up for people you don’t know, to fight battles that aren’t your own, and to risk everything you have so that someone else might have a better life. That’s the kind of people Ashu and Saurav are.

Quick Question:- People say India is more FREE than China is Having lived for 68 years in India I know I. Courts don't offer equitable justice to all citizens II. Police, Officials and Politicians abuse their power massively III. Any Indian can be jailed for 7 days without being presented before a magistrate IV. Any Indian can be interrogated outside the presence of his lawyer by the police V. Properties can be encroached by thugs without the slightest recourse barring an expensive settlement or a long drawn court battle VI. Citizens can be forced to wait for 20 minutes, 30 minutes even 45 minutes for convoys of ministers to pass through VII. The Average time to prove ones innocence is 6 1/4 years VIII. The Average time to establish ones guilt is a single FIR registered in 20 minutes IX. Bail is decided based on wealth of the accused rather than the weight of the case. A Theft accused could spend 15 months without bail and a rape accused could walk out in 3 months with bail X. Corrupt Politicians & Officials are so frequent that people now regard Honest Politicians & Officials as fools Where is this FREEDOM everyone talks about? (If you say "Freedom to tweet this" - I believe the same freedom is available in every nation except North Korea maybe)

Mr @ceoup , You are standing on a weak wicket . You spent an entire thread arguing about whether the voter submitted 2 forms or 4 forms. That is not the point. The point is that the same person ended up with **four different EPICs**. Whether he applied twice or four times, your system issued multiple voter ID cards to one individual. That is a failure of basic deduplication, something the Election Commission has been promising to fix for years. Calling it a “long-standing problem” while lecturing a fact-checker- @zoo_bear - about “creating disaffection” against a Constitutional body is remarkable. If multiple EPICs for the same person is an old issue, why is it still happening in 2026 during a special intensive revision? And why is the official response focused on tone-policing the messenger instead of explaining how four cards were generated and whether they have now been cancelled? Transparency would be posting the application reference numbers yourself and confirming the status of those four EPICs. Not advising citizens to delete posts that show a clear anomaly.
Mr Fact-checker please fact-check your own facts. There is no such scheme as “Buy one Get one free” scheme by Election Commission. As per your post, the voter had submitted only two applications and he got 4 EPIC cards. This statement is false. The voter had submitted 4 applications. If you want to dispute our facts then you post the reference numbers of two applications that you claim he had submitted and we will post the reference number of the remaining two. The problem of generation of multiple EPICs on submission of multiple forms of an individual is a long standing one. We do deduplication through ECINET periodically. We are on path to achieving the objective of catching multiple forms submitted by an individual at the submission stage only. We will achieve our objective very soon. Please do not incite people by making patently false statements about ECI and thereby trying to create disaffection among the citizens towards a Constitutional Body. You are advised to rectify your mistake by amending or deleting your post after completing your own due diligence now that you have been informed by us about your wrong information.

It is important to go back to the evidence of vote chori brought by @RahulGandhi last year September to November as it was the most painstakingly researched findings from the physical voters list. Now that Gyanesh is caught with pants down it is important to revisit the evidence provided by RG for Karnataka , Haryana and Maharashtra. We owe this to our electoral democracy and the people who exercise their most precious right.

Wah Modiji wah? Truly a vishwaguru?
In 2014 when Modi became PM, India's nominal GDP per capita was $1,573, while Bangladesh's nominal GDP per capita was approximately $1,118. That is, India's was 40% higher in 2014. Modi pushed India behind.

#UPSIRFiles 30 consecutive serial numbers. All marked DEAD in a single booth in Mughalsarai, UP. In Mughalsarai, Booth No. 53, serial numbers 1–30 are all marked “Dead” in the records analysed. Even more striking: 22 out of 30 (73.3%) are aged just 20–39. It's strange that so many young voters end up marked dead in a single booth.
