Can you imagine how long the reviews will be now that they must determine whether the stick might be off the puck by a fraction of a centimeter.
I liked @KellyHrudey's take on the Makar play. He said he'd definitely make this a coaching point. Paraphrasing: Just lift your stick off the puck momentarily as you cross the blueline and you are absolved of the offside call. But is that seriously the intent of the rule?
