I’m interested in the credit card debt numbers personally, they were WAY above forecast last month and could be signalling Americans are struggling more than the broader stats suggest, especially given those broad stats are lagging indicators.

I am not convinced the US has avoided a hard landing despite the recovery in inflation. Many thought the Fed went too high too fast and I’m inclined to lean in favour of that view point at the moment…

Some serious swings in the markets this week. Clear that after pricing in earlier interest rate cuts, the market is now bouncing back and forth trying to determine timing on the first (and number of) rate cuts.
