🚀Building blocks for platform engineering: 1. Build your custom k8s operators !! It’s way more than automating your operations. You can do whatever you want. Use the power of the CRDs to design your company’s flows and resources. If you are a Java developer, you’re lucky the @javaoperatorsdk and the Quarkus extension brings you a lot of developer joy. 2. Embrace GitOps, a lot of options are available but I have a preference for ArgoCD 3. Embrace a modern CI/CD tool , while I love GH Actions and Gitlab CI, I would tend to go for an agnostic tool like @tektoncd 4. Embrace IaC , combine it with 1. 2. and 3. , Terraform is of course the option I would go for, you can even write your own providers. 5. Abstract your workload resources definitions by using standards like @KnativeProject 6. Provide tooling for your devs : a CLI , use @picocli if tou are a Java dev. Write an extension/plugin for your IDE, writing a VSCode extension is really easy and satisfying.
