RFC states it is for 'broadcasting tools and real-time media broadcast networks', but I have found its impact to be so much greater.

Yesterday marks a UC milestone - the conclusion of the RTCWeb working group at the IETF, marking the completion of its standards work. datatracker.ietf.org/wg/rtcw…. This work started in 2011 - eight years ago - tools.ietf.org/html/draft-ro… was my proposal for the tech.. ahh the memories..
