There are many behaviours I ascribe to not having a present father figure in a person’s life.
Excessive reverencing of your Pastor is one of them.

I think the worst part about getting older is being robbed of your sense of wonder. I dreamt of flying cars as a little boy, but the big auto manufacturers wouldn’t let me have it. I am old now and I get it. “The real world” with its “real problems” put limits on what was “practical.” Cars got uglier. Insurance companies got greedier. And some dreams that were more sacred than the dollar were laid to rest.
But for the first time in like 30 years, I feel like a kid again. I don’t care if this is just a demo or if it won’t actually make it to production or if I will never be able to afford it (courtesy of “the real world” and its limits on what is “practical”). The dream is worth something.
