To allow for work to take place to remove the tree from the overhead line at Tyne Dock, the service is suspended between Gateshead and Stadium and South Shields in either direction. Tickets and passes can be used on Go North East services in the affected area.

This war has been going on for nearly five years, and somehow the one thing that never seems to run out is money Zelensky keeps asking for more, Europe keeps sending it, and ordinary Europeans, especially Ukrainians, are the ones paying the price with their lives. Europe doesn't want this war to end, and Zelensky doesn't seem much interested in ending it either. They just keep pretending they're working toward peace while the money keeps flowing Hundreds of billions have been poured into this war, and we're supposed to believe there aren't massive financial and political incentives to keep the whole thing going? Come on And don't forget the fact that Ukraine didn't even had election since 2019 The political elites get to make speeches, demand more money, and pretend they're saving the world while ordinary families bury their children It's absolutely insane how this has become an endless cycle of asking for money, sending money, and sending people to die, with no end in sight
What’s actually going on in Ukraine is that there is a massive incentive difference between the elites and the people. The former have grown very rich off the hundreds of billions flowing to Ukraine, while the latter’s children are conscripted to die in trenches.

When people donated their hard earned money to a charity to build and maintain London’s bridges over the last 850 years - I can guarantee you that not one of them expected that their money would be diverted to organisations called:

That no one is screaming about this is incomprehensible. Where is the MSM? @CNN @FoxNews @livenowfox @CBSNews @NBCNews @washingtonpost @nytimes @I24TV @MSNBC @Jerusalem_Post @TexasJewishPost @AtlJewishTimes
Right now, a genocide against Christians, perpetrated by Muslims, is happening in Nigeria. More than 3,000 members of Reverend Ezekiel Dachomo’s church have been killed. And he has already conducted over 200 mass burials for his congregation. This year alone, more Christians have been killed in Nigeria than Gazans in 3 years of war. But no one seems to care, and the media remains silent.

For background on the disgraceful actions of MoD, Trolley and Wally and Starmer et al, the whole stinking crew of SW1 NPCs, watch Jaycal on Shawn Ryan show. Our government is much more dangerous than ‘Putin’, our own MPs and officials are driving the country into crisis, security and financial and spiritual and constitutional. The stinking Tories supported the worst lawyers in Whitehall never forget that. Which is a reason you never see Kemi-kasi campaign on this issue. They’ll all babble ‘Slava Ukraine prepare for war with Russia’ to distract from their deliberate undermining of our own borders and importing of jihadis. This country needs to focus on reversing the vandalising of our own forces by our own rancid political parties, not babbling Slava Ukraine about a moronic war the useless NPCs keep escalating - a war between two KGB-mafia networks we stumbled ignorantly and foolishly into because the west’s political class were programmed by university to be clowns. youtu.be/nuu3ShNddKA?si=R2dj…
The murder inquiry outlasted the premierships of Johnson, Truss, Sunak, Starmer so Qs not limited to one PM or party — as for the current administration, @wesstreeting confirmed last night he will *not* meet the SAS men involved or their lawyers. Per sources, this is because some have submitted complaints to military police. I assume this reflects the fact defence secretary also oversees military law enforcement — a tension that apparently meant the MoD was unable to give any meaningful comment or view on the whole affair. That includes SAS men sent out of helicopters into nighttime battle against ISIS 48 hours after police interviews, and having homes raided and murder allegation raised before families.

Hate to say I told you so. The Tories will NEVER leave the ECHR. There are too many Wets in the party that will never vote for it. Rishi said “I’ll do whatever it takes to stop the boats.” Kemi says they will leave the ECHR. They lied before and they are lying again.

I took 92-year-old Ron back to the streets where he grew up in Tottenham for the first time in 56 years. When he was a boy it was ~99% white British. In 2021, it was just 23.2%. On the way home, he told me I had given him nightmares for the rest of his life.

I hate to break it to you, John, but the Kremlin meddles in everything, just as the CIA meddles and MI6 meddles. All nations are meddling in each other’s affairs, even when they’re allies. Especially when they’re allies. The Kremlin might be better at meddling than we are, but all the spook agencies are all a-meddling. It’s hardly a stunning exclusive. What this ‘Russia swung the Brexit vote’ BS really smacks of is a desperate desire to believe that the British people would never have voted to leave the sacred institution of the EU had it not been for Vladimir Putin’s mendacious meddling. Because that’s how stupid and gullible the British public are in the eyes of our progressive metropolitan elites. The Sun-reading plebs are just ignorant pigs who will gobble down any old rancid swill that piques their prejudices. They don’t have the capacity to think for themselves, unlike the enlightened, Observer-reading metropolitan set. They spend their days chain-vaping, chugging Monster energy drinks and doom-scrolling social media, foaming at the mouth about immigrants. Obviously these fools voted for Brexit - they’re all stupid and racist after all! Except that isn’t true, or what happened. For decades, the British people were denied any meaningful democratic input into the UK’s gradual absorption into an increasingly integrated European political project that was steadily chipping away at national sovereignty. They noticed. They didn’t like it. And when they were finally given a referendum, they said, ‘No, thank you. Our democracy matters.’ It was a genuinely British act of quiet rebellion. Of course there have been consequences. But the lesson ought to be that MPs should do more than pay lip service to British democracy. It’s not for sale to the highest bidder, or tradable for market access. It’s ours, and we’re keeping it. And I say this as somebody who voted Remain. Looking back, I realise I didn’t vote Remain because I believed the EU was particularly democratic, or even an especially good idea. I voted Remain because, at the time, it happened to chime with my political worldview. But when I began to realise that much of the supposedly progressive establishment wasn’t particularly progressive at all, and had rather more authoritarian instincts than I’d appreciated, the EU suddenly looked a lot less appealing. And here’s the thing. I suspect much of the Rejoin lobby would rapidly lose its enthusiasm for European integration if the EU became even moderately centre-right, never mind genuinely right-wing. Imagine Brussels suddenly embracing such outrageous ideas as the immutability of biological sex, the absurdity of gender self-identification, and the principle that women’s rights should take precedence over those of cross-dressing blokes. The same people currently demanding that we rejoin would be running around with their hair on fire, screaming that we must leave this dreadful, reactionary institution immediately. Well, we’ve left. Democracy has spoken. And apparently the BBC’s woke octogenarian still can’t come to terms with it.
Congratulations to Carole Cadwalladr, @carolecadwalla, who together with colleagues first revealed this story.

I see the latest Rejoin propaganda is to persuade you that not only were you thick, o Brexit voter, but you were so thick you were taken in by Russian propaganda. Unlike the clever-clogs who voted Remain and weren’t taken in at all. No, siree, not they.

The True Tory Dream: 1. Run country 2. Do nothing 3. Leave office 4. Get Times column where you say how much you wish you'd done something. 🙄🤡
The small boats crisis has gone on longer than WWII. I will always regret that I could not solve it. We have to show people the journey is pointless. Rwanda was criticised as a fantasy, but the real fantasy is thinking you can stop the boats without it. For some time I had said that if forced to choose between membership of the ECHR and our national and border security, I would pick the latter. During my tenure, attempting to leave the ECHR with only two years left in the parliament and with no mandate to do so would have been a recipe for constitutional chaos. You couldn't resolve all the issues thrown up by leaving in 24 months with a fractious parliamentary party, a sceptical House of Lords and limited diplomatic capital. Other countries can read our opinion polls. With the help of KCs, we'd done extensive work on leaving. The plan was to say in the election campaign that we'd seek radical reform of the convention and the court, and leave if that could not be achieved quickly. Like so many things in that campaign, it didn't go to plan, and we dropped the idea after Nigel Farage entered the race, for fear it would be dismissed as a panic move and make it harder to focus the election on tax and the economy. With a mandate, a majority and a five-year term, it would be very different, and worth doing. My Sunday Times column today looks at how 👇 thetimes.com/comment/columni…

There are people who leave a mark on the world, and then there are people who change it entirely. Steve changed the world and so many lives in the process. He certainly changed my life forever. His spirit lives on in everything he created and everyone he inspired.

The irony of a news org asking someone who breaches copyright and steals other news orgs’ work for green screen social posts to do a piece about the death of news orgs is pretty stunning tbh.
As local news budgets shrink and misinformation spreads, independent creators are stepping up to keep communities informed. With more than half a million followers, TikToker Andrew Barton is passionate about local journalism. Channel 4 News asked him to investigate what the future of local news looks like and whether new government funding can help keep it alive.

One of the busiest airports in the world, and he's pulling the "Norf" card. The issue here is that people who fly to Heathrow mainly want to go to London, not Manchester. If they wanted to go to Manchester, they would fly to fucking Manchester.
‘I looked at the second runway at Manchester and it has capacity…’ Andy Burnham says a Heathrow expansion needs ‘wider discussion’.

I was born in, and grew up partially in England - I have the fondest memories of the pubs where families would go to gather, to have a drink together and be merry along with our dogs. This is genocidal language.
