Been to get a train each week of the last 3 weeks and each time I’ve been delayed. Wouldn’t be to bad if travelling this way was good value but it just isn’t!
Best part is the same train broke down twice in two days and resulted in a £90 taxi on the second day.
@Mark_J_Harper
Honestly a prawn sandwich at 7.30am on a full train is not what I want next to me.

#PowerApps #PowerPlatform people - have I missed that the Per App licence has been deprecated?
No costs mentioned on the page: powerapps.microsoft.com/en-g… but per app is still in the licencing guide?
The game I play most is… Chess! And I’ve finally made it to 1000 rating on @chesscom - I’m by no means a great player but so happy to get to the 4 digit mark.
Thanks to @GothamChess for the videos and getting me back into chess back in 2020.

Lol, my fellow brits using Windows 11 with en-GB in the Insider Program might have noticed that MS has mistranslated ZIP files as "postcode" files in the latest builds.

The most fun I ever had negotiating a salary:
Years ago I hired a guy to a junior marketing role. He was a bike mechanic with no relevant experience, but he had an engineer’s mind and was funny as heck.
I asked him to call me to discuss compensation…

My @Athersmike portrait is finally finished!
This one has taken AGES but I’m pretty pleased with the end result. It completes my trilogy of 1990s England captains.
I’d love Athers to see the finished painting, so any retweets would (as ever) be very gratefully received.

For those who don't fully understand what is up with the NHS, here is a thread for you that might help.
I'm a consultant physician working as a doctor in the NHS in Yorkshire and Wales for 32 years now. I have experienced the NHS at its best (2008) and its worst (2022).
For #2023NewYear want to do more reading - I’m going to try and tackle two books a month.
Does anybody have any recommendations?

I helped a team reduce their Azure Application Insights cost from $10,000/mo down to $1,500/mo.
I spent a good week researching potential issues.
The end solution was kind of funny.
Someone forgot to turn off Azure SQL logs.
We flipped a switch, and the cost went down 85%.
