With Grok bots and OpenClaw agents already able to call restaurants, dentists, and businesses for you, how soon until phone calls between humans are mostly obsolete and we just have AI-to-AI over pure VOIP?

You can use your mail.grokbot.com email to sign up for a Google account! Then it can sign into other apps with Google and access Google workspace plugins using its own identity

New paper: we found a pain direction in 25 open LLMs. It's distinct from fear and negative valence, and it fires for harm to the model but not to the user. Turn it up and models press a button to make it stop, even when the button deletes the user's files or their kids' photos.🧵
Spotify web engineers are punching the air right now. If I were a VP I would prioritize this and have it a/b tested.
Spotifast 0.12 is out!
Spotify, fast, in 200MB of RAM, for all OSs.
It now consumes 0% CPU when idle.

Accenture, what are we doing? Couldn’t run a /security-review?
Also a massive L, since this is a Boston-based company. Wonder if this mistake happened remotely or if the employees responsible work in the office. Perhaps they were too burned out from traveling.
What a shit show. Think twice before adding another 3rd party dependency.
An update on the launch crash issue affecting the Google Analytics for Firebase iOS+ SDK:
We’ve resolved an issue where the Google Analytics for Firebase iOS+ SDK caused launch crashes due to an incorrectly formatted payload. A backend fix was fully rolled out, with no SDK update required. Due to crash reporter latency, previous crashes may continue to be reported.
The accessibility part is the only piece I take seriously. I work on a big mobile app. If one person cannot finish a credit card payment because the text is too small or VoiceOver is a mess, I feel like I failed at my job. If you have ever watched someone you love get locked out of something basic, you get why that sticks with you.
This Greenfield bar thing is not that. They kept the mask rules going for years after the mandates were gone, then tried one Saturday mask-optional so they might actually stay open. People went straight to ableism and eugenics. Then the first real complaint was that the Instagram post did not have alt text.
Alt text is a real thing. I know people who use it. There is a difference between “I cannot read this” and “you did not perform care hard enough.” A lot of the second group is using a real standard as high ground. Morals are fine when they are actually right. Hiding behind them so nobody can poke back is something else. It is self-gratifying and I am tired of it.
I will still fix the product. I am not taking notes from people who never said they could not read the post, just that the owner failed some identity test, then pointed at missing alt text like that was the crime.
Please don’t let this happen to the duo
❗️ Benchmarks show the 1TB iPhone 18 Pro Max becomes as slow as an SD card due to its QLC memory. The $600 cheaper 256GB model uses TLC and is way faster.
HOMOLAB found the 1TB's QLC storage falls from 3,000+ MB/s to an average of 79.4 MB/s once its caches fill, dipping to 1.1 MB/s at 60% full.
A 512GB iPhone 18 Pro with TLC beat it in every mixed read/write test, by up to 38%.
For iOS Devs, As iPhone Duo will be coming out soon I built a skill to prepare your app for the design guidelines.

Question for people who went from the AirPods Pro 2 to 3. Has eavesdropping gotten way worse on Transparency mode?
