Grok @Bot is the hottest new AI product in the world right now. I'm absolutely hooked.
It all started a few months ago as a tiny team holed up in a separate part of the office, building from scratch.
Four weeks after the first line of code, the whole company was obsessed. Three weeks later, it launched to the world. Less than a month in, millions of Grok Bots are already helping people get work done.
Roman Ugarte (@romanugarte_) incubated, launched, and now leads product for Grok Bot. This is the first time he's told the story:
🔸 Why they started fresh instead of building it into Cursor
🔸 The two non-obvious bets that made it such a success
🔸 What they learned from manually onboarding the first 200–300 users
🔸 Why they spent the weeks before launch *unshipping* features
🔸 The first prompt to try when you open it

Having Grok Bot redo the same clicks in a web app burns a lot of tokens. One of the best ways I've found to stretch your usage is asking @bot to reverse engineer expensive browser use tasks into scripts!
Have it capture the network requests from a computer-use run once. Next time, skip the UI and hit the APIs directly with the same auth.
This also has the added benefit of being way faster than having Bot click around in a GUI!
Just dropped a Bot that can do this for you automatically ⬇️
Excited to share "Not My Tempo" - a Bot that can audit all of your other Bots' inefficient routines and optimize them! Not My Tempo will:
• Convert expensive routine computer use tasks into scripts and connectors
• Look for opportunities to optimize the cadence of routines
• Move cron-based routines onto event-based triggers
• ... and more!
Install it below and let me know how many tokens it saves you!

Grok Bot is on Android! Check it out and let us know what you think!

One of the best parts about Grok Bot is how easy it is to add custom connectors. If we're ever missing a connector from our marketplace, you can just tell Bot to add it! This also works for any custom MCPs that you might already be hosting!
Now let me look into getting @Plaid added officially ...
This is what we built the Cursor SDK for
I built a @cursor_ai client that runs inside World of Warcraft as an addon so I can keep an eye on my agents and prompt them when i need.

You can now create new web apps with Cursor, store the code with Origin, and deploy to Vercel.

all is proceeding according to my plan
Cursor is now part of @SpaceX.
Today, we have officially closed our acquisition. We will join the @SpaceXAI team to help make Grok the world's most useful AI and improve Grok Build, Grok Bot, Grok API, Cursor, and more.
SpaceX has built some of the most inspiring and impressive technology in the world, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to become part of such a special company. Onwards.

I’ve been using it for ~2 hours and I’m absolutely blown away at how I could automate a bunch of my workflows. Cursor team built a way for “normies” to automate stuff. Feels like an OpenClaw 2.0 moment.
(Zero affiliation, I upgraded to Ultra to use it and absolutely worth it.)

SpaceXAI's Grok 4.6 scores 61 on the Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index, joining the frontier in line with GPT-5.6 Sol, with standout agentic performance at lower cost
Grok 4.6 gains 5 points over Grok 4.5 on the Intelligence Index just over one month after its release, or +23 points compared to Grok 4.3. This brings SpaceXAI back to the intelligence frontier alongside OpenAI, behind only Anthropic.
Key takeaways:
➤ Grok 4.6 joins the frontier of the Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index: It scores 61, in line with GPT-5.6 Sol (max), behind Claude Opus 5 (max, 63) and Claude Fable 5 (max with fallback, 62), and just ahead of Kimi K3
➤ Strong agentic performance: Grok 4.6 achieves a GDPval-AA v2 Elo of 1753, behind only Claude Opus 5 and with overlapping confidence intervals with Claude Fable 5 and Qwen3.8 Max. It scores 50.7% on 𝜏³-Banking, among the top two scores alongside Qwen3.8 Max (51.3%), and 88.4% on Terminal-Bench v2.1, in line with the leading models
➤ Frontier-level intelligence at lower cost: Headline pricing is unchanged from Grok 4.5 at $2/$6 per 1M input/output tokens, 60%+ below Claude Opus 5 ($5/$25) and GPT-5.6 Sol ($5/$30). It cost $0.84 per task, the same as Kimi K3 with slightly higher intelligence, placing it on the Intelligence vs. Cost per Task Pareto frontier
➤ Grok 4.6 sits at Fable 5-tier on AA-Briefcase, our private benchmark of long-horizon agentic knowledge work tasks, with an Elo of 1577 - behind the Claude Opus 5 family. It is notably turn-efficient, completing tasks in ~53 turns and ~0.5B input tokens on average vs. ~103 turns and ~2.0B input tokens for Claude Opus 5 (max)
Other model details:
➤ Context window of 500k tokens (unchanged from Grok 4.5)
➤ Pricing of $2/$6 per 1M tokens of input/output; cache hits discounted to $0.5 per 1M tokens, an increase over Grok 4.5’s $0.3 per 1M tokens for cache hits
Congratulations to @SpaceXAI and @elonmusk on the release!

ok i tried this and i think this is the best ai app ever made for normal people
it’s better than chatgpt and claude
not smarter
just better
This is one of the coolest projects that I’ve worked on. Grok Bot had insane PMF internally, almost instantly. For much of the company, Bots have become the interface for all of their work. Really excited to see what your Bots do!!
